(The search function never works anymore, so...) It seems like I remember hearing something about a few studios at BW that had an extra bed in them. Can anyone tell me more about this? Can you specifically reserve these rooms or just request them? Where are they located and how many are there? Why do the exist? Thanks.

The deacon's bench has always been in the room at BWV when I've been assigned a dedicated studio there. The pad on the bench doesn't qualify as a mattress IMO. The width of the bench is the same as a normal seat, not like a bed at all. We've used it to store packages on.

The room like that that we've had are located not too far from the elevators, and they have work staircases or work rooms or other dedicated studios next to them.

In addition to Bobbi's comments - the day beds are found only in the dedicated studios at BWV. They sit where the connecting door would be found in the lock-off studios.

While you can certainly make a request for a studio with a day bed, it is not a guaranteed reservation for that room type.

The "bed" might be large enough for a small child, but it is not really a bed with linens. It is used by many just for storing luggage/purchases.

The mattress is about crib sized. My five yr old refused to sleep on it during the first night he was on it.

These rooms used to be called the Studio Plus and you could request them and be guaranteed to get them. But in the past six or so years, you can no longer be guaranteed to get one.

Like bobbiwoz said, they are only in dedicated studios. They are located in the space between the TV armoir and the kitchenette where the door to the connecting room would have been. So they are only about the width of a door.

This piece of furniture only holds my luggage, and quite snugly I might say. I would never have put one of my girls on it when they were little. Too uncomfortable. Get an Aero bed instead. JMHO. :)
