Extending a Trip for Some Members of our Family

I want to book a trip in June 2022 for myself DS31, DDNL31, DGS1, DS12 and DH. It will be a week long trip, but DS12 and I want to stay another week. I wanted to book a family suite at ASM and get a package, but my son and I do not know how to book. My son and I can stay in a regular room for the second half of the trip, but I don’t want to have to buy new tickets if that makes sense. What is the best way to book? Thank you!

You have two options - if you go with a package, you need to buy the same length of tickets for everyone in the room, however you could upgrade your and DS12's tickets once you arrive - you would then have to make your park reservations, so you, possibly, run the risk of not getting into the specific parks you want to get in to on any given day. Or, you could book two, room-only reservations and buy everyone's tickets separately so you can pre-reserve all parks. If you go this route, the tickets will be completely non-refundable and not subject to package terms and conditions. Keep in mind, in either scenario, you max ticket length is 10 days, so, with two weeks, you may have to find some other things to do on the days you aren't going to the parks.
