Extending 4/3 Again!

I hope they extend it and I will cross my fingers and toes for them to extend it to the 31st of October. Because if i regard correctly, as long as your first night is on the last day, you still get the deal? I sure hope so, that would be amazing. Come on Disney, come on!! :goodvibes

When I called about this for a trip in August, I was told by the CM, in order for the 4/3 deal you had to be checked out by the 15th, which is the last day of the current offer. So, since those dates didn't work for me, I just booked a room only for my dates in hopes of FD coming.

Oh. That really stinks. Then hopefully something will be there. We could sure use it.

The 4/3 offer is a way better deal for us as we are staying at AKL. I wondered at the time the pins for FD came out if that was going to be the only FD offer and they would extend this 4/3 instead. I'd be really happy with FD but I would save so much more on 4/3. The dining plan for us is just way too much food.

Yes, for the first time this past year, it was offered to Disney Visa cardholders.
- good til the 25th (I believe- that's when we checked out)

Was the free dining offer last Dec just for Disney Visa cardholders? Not that it matters, I have the Disney Visa, but am just curious if it was offered to the general public also.:confused3

I had the same question about November? I have a Disney Visa and we are thinking of going in November. Was free dining offered last year to Visa holders? If so does anyone remember when the offer came out? If they extend the 4/3 offer and I book under that can I change to the free dining w/ the Visa when/if it is offered since I think that would be a better deal for us? Thanks!

I hope not since free dinning is the better deal for us.

Count me among those hoping for different discounts rather than an extension of 4/3. The 4/3 is great for our long trip in May, but if we get back in the fall/winter it'll be for a long weekend and 4/3 won't help us at all :(

ARGGGGG!!!!  I see everyone getting pin codes in the mail. I even had a friend show me hers on the bus. She never goes and every year gets 1 or 2 sent to her. Y not give it to the people who go alot or atleast yearly. I never received one. I read on here how alot of peole who go have them. Is it a selected random or what. Keep us going. The way things are going and the offers they have we are going again in Dec. during Pop Warner week when no discounts are available. So why not throw a pin code my way, to get me togo one other time dur ing the yr. I would much rather have the Free Dining then the 4/3, cause we always stay at a value resort and are able to do more, park tix, shop, etc.

The commercial I saw this morning said the offer was extended to August 15th so maybe free dining offer will still offered after that.

Disney has done some wild things during wild times. Back in 2001 after 9/11 they offerred AP rates, 4/3 type deals, and incentives galore to get people to travel again. It wouldn't surprise me after numbers come out to see them do ANYTHING to get people to think Disney Vacation. Works for me! :thumbsup2

Yes, it was only for Visa cardholders in Nov and Dec.
Usually Mousesavers has the info on when deals were offered, if you want to check that.

The free dining works much better for us for our planned August trip. We will have 2 rooms at a moderate (most likely) and 8 Disney Adults, two real adults, one 12 yr old and four 16 year olds, plus a 1 year old. (celebrating our 16 year olds birthday by bringing her friends) We also plan on going for more then 7 nights, so rather then making us take a longer trip, they would be making us seriously consider a shorter trip.

Thinking about the discounts they offered after 9/11, I think I remember them having buy 3 get 4 free the first time it was offered. I would be ok with them offering buy 4 get 3 free with free dining for those 3 days to, but we are still best off for this trip with just free dining. Hopefully everyone will get what they want.

That would be REWARDING loyal customers....Disney doesn't do that. That's what REAL hotel chains do (marriott, Hilton etc)

That's one of the reasons I find it hard to justify paying top dollar for Disney hotels. There are several areas where they don't measure up and "theme" and "location" are no longer worth the preimum they want IMHO!

OOOH I hope they do extend it. That would definately reward me cause i would go again.

Please please please please please :cheer2: please please please I wanna go twice this year!

We did the free dining about 2 yrs ago at the end of Aug. before my DS went back to school and it was fantastic. I rather have this offer then the free nite stay. I can extend my trip longer and expierence dining options we probably would never go to.

I know this is just crazy dreaming but I would love 4/3 AND free dining. We booked FD for Aug 2009 with the bounceback last September 2008 and I would be so thrilled to do both.

Pipe dream, I know...
