Just heard from a family member in Florida, who works at WDW, that Disney is seriously considering extending the 4/3 special through October. Has anyone else heard this?:confused3

ooooo, that would be terrific! :cool1: I'll have to keep my fingers crossed!

It wouldn't surprise me. It must be working well for Disney since they've extended it through the summer. If it's working, I think they'll stick with it!:)

I'd heard from a CM when I was at WDW in December about extending the 4/3 deal through the fall. This would be great for a lot of folks if this happens.

Hmm-that's a tough one.

I am on the fence as to which deal is best. Any thoughts on that?

I have the bounceback and I think the 4/3 deal is still $200 dollars more for us. Staying at CBR.

Edit: I think that was when I was doing the non-value season though....I want to keep an eye on this...

Gee, maybe Disney should just lower their rack rates by 40% and see how much THAT helps their hotel bookings.

I mean, honestly...

I bet you if they started a new ad campaign "Disney Resorts, now 40% off EVERY NIGHT, No PIN Code Required!"...they'd be booked solid every night of the year.

oh that would be wonderful! I really want to go for food and wine and halloween!

If they extend it that will mean no GP free dining though....

I was also thinking that. I would rather have FD because we would never pay for the DDP. It just costs too much for our family since we like to stay about 10 days.

I had kind of planned an adult getaway for late September with the hopes of FD. I guess I'll have to really think about that since I have a PIN for 40% off that will expire the end of March.

And if they extend it through the fall, I'm imagining that there must be something coming for Jan-Feb next year too. Or, at least I'm hoping. :cool1:

Please let this be true. We usually go in October and are seriously thinking of putting off the trip until then instead of June because we like it so much better that time of year. We are not interested in free dining so this would be the motivation to switch.:thumbsup2

well, the 4/3 deal is probably better unless you're staying in value rooms. We're 4 adults staying for a week in May on the 4/3 deal, in 2 standard Value rooms, and regular DDP. And then we're staying on bounceback free dining in September...4 adults again, for a week.

Both stays are 2 standard Pop rooms, 7 day hopper tickets, one with paid dining, one with free dining. The free dining week in September is WAY cheaper for 4 adults than the 4/3 week...it helps that it's value season on the room rack rate, but the September vacation will be several hundred dollars cheaper with free dining.

You might want to think about getting a 7 day non expiring pass durning May. You will pay for a 4 day non expiring and get the 7 day. Once there, upgrade to an AP, after 1st use, and they will apply the 7 day amt. For the FD change to a one day pass and just keep it for future use. If you don't use it it's good forever. Just a thought. I haven't read the entire thread yet, so someone else may have suggested this already. You might even want to come back again before the AP expires next May!!

I will be one who's NOT hoping for a 4/3 extension, but rather for the free dining. In order for a second visit to be possible for our family this year (we were just there in January) its free dining at a value property or bust.

Definitely I see the value of the 4/3 promo for those who stay in the higher level resorts (we stayed at a mod in Jan. under the 4/3 deal) but the free dining would by far outweight the 4/3 savings for us later this summer at All Star Sports.

C'mon, free dining!! :wizard:
