Has anyone here stayed at the ESA on South Clementine? My boyfriend and I are in the early planning stages of a trip to Southern California for Disneyland and Comic-con next July.

I read some reviews on tripadvisor and I like how they have a stove, fridge, and microwave so that we can save on the food costs by buying groceries.

I also like how they allow pets, I have not seen many hotels around DL that take pets. I don't know if we are going to have someone we know watch our two babies (chihuahuas), if not we have to take them with us.

Also, I like how a lot of the reviews on tripadvisor say that they have gotten the room for $38-44 by bidding on priceline. I have never used priceline but I have plenty of time to research!

Most of the bad reviews complained about the lack of maid service and shampoo/conditioner. These things are no problem to us as we never use maid service while we stay at a hotel. We always leave the Do Not Disturb sign on the door even while we are gone because I do not see the point of someone cleaning up after us while we are still staying longer. :confused3 I feel I can clean up after myself. Also we do not use the hotel shampoo/conditioner or towels, we always bring our own. I even bring my own blankets and pillows and just sleep on top of the bed so the bed never needs to be made. I don't know if this is weird or what but this is what I always do at hotels. :lmao:

So enough of my rambling...basically I want to know if it is an alright hotel to stay at; I don't need a nice hotel I just don't wanna be staying at a place with bugs or mold. Also I wanted to know about the distance to DL; is it a long walk? We like to take mid-day breaks back at the hotel for lunch. Is it possible here? Or will we get tired of the walk after a long day? I'm assuming you can take ART from this hotel. If so, how early does ART start running in the morning? I like to get to the gates about half an hour before they open.

Thanks!

I wouldn't try on priceline for it unless you are sure the other extended stay america is sold out and that is unlikely. It shows up in the same category. That esa though is a good one-- I've read a lot of reviews.

We stayed there for a week and a half in June while we looked for a place to live. I thought it was really nice. They do have updated rooms, but since we had our small dog, we were on the 3rd floor with the non-renovated rooms. It was worth that to be able to have our dog there though, and the new rooms are much prettier, but that's about it. Our room was still very clean and in good shape. We usually stay at the Sheraton on Ball Rd. which is amazing, but we needed the cheaper rate for the extended stay.

The ART does come, not sure about the schedule because we just walked. It's not that far at all.

Got rates on Expedia for about $65 a night. Also, the Garden Walk is right across the street.
