Extended Evening Hours

I'm wondering if they will add on additional week days at a later date. It sucks that they only have it twice a week, not much of a benefit.
Yea, need more dates just to increase the flexibility of what parks to plan the next morning. Supposed to do animal kingdom on Thursday, but not really ideal following a late night mk. However considering what they charge for after hours events it is a relatively good deal for night owls like myself.

As previous discussions about this, its not likely they will.
I would have loved to see each park have a day, but doesn't look like that will happen.

Since you mentioned the Caballeros, did you happen to see if La Cava del Tequila was open during extended hours?
I don’t believe it was. The quick service outside the pyramid was one of the few dining options open.

Anyone have a report on when lines get short at tier 1 rides? We are doing boo bash on 17, but if we also want to take advantage of this then we would end up staying out until midnight again the following night and then again Wednesday which might be a bit much for the rest of the family. If lines are short right away then it might be worth it to plan some rides in the first part and then head out? Probably should t have done boo bash and just enjoyed those two evenings, but that would be a hard pitch to sell.
I have the same situation. 10/24 boo bash, eeh 10/25. no night on my 10/23-10/26 have mk extra evening hours posted but i'm starting to regret two midnights back to back.

okay, we have the exact same itinerary! I made dessert party at mk for 10/25 and was going to leave later to ph over for eeh . nothing for 10/23 but harmonious and same for 10/26. We can't change our itinerary! Can't cancel boo bash?! And there's no other epcot late night hours and no mk ones at all. I have to change my early morning usual mind set to late night which isn't really my comfort zone.

We are heading down November 13-18 and so plan to hit the DEMH (is this right abbreviation?) at both EPCOT and MK. I'm assuming you can hop to the park and take advantage. We are DVC members staying at Boardwalk.

That was my question as well. I read on Disney Food Blog's post that they were checking park reservations when entering after hours. Does having a hopper ticket negate this requirement? (If not, may have to rearrange the itinerary for November trip)

It looks like you need a park reservation or a Park Hopper: "Guests will need valid admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day to experience extended evening hours–or, Guests may experience extended evening hours if they have a ticket or annual pass with the Park Hopper option and first enter the park where they made their reservation."

We will be there for MK on 10/27. This is check in day, gonna need a nap, we are not night owls o_O Doing Universal at 9am the next day!

Only by happenstance we have a Deluxe resort reservation, might as well take advantage of it.

The price difference for us is $2,800 staying in Kidani 1 bedroom vs AOA Nemo.
The $ math at Disney is fascinating. That difference in room options is more than I paid for two Incredi-Pass APs earlier this week.

If we knew weather Genie+ would be out first week of Nov (we would pay for that instead of deluxe for daytime benefits vs just 2 days of late night hours with small kids) then this decision would be easier. We couldn’t do more than 2 rides with the ridiculous waits. I don’t want to pay $1400 for genie+ and LL if I’ve already paid so much at a deluxe.

Did the hours at Magic Kingdom. We had a park hopper and had no problems getting in, though a few of us couldn't use our bands for scanning at each ride. One person has to scan, and say how many are in their party, and then we were allowed to enter the line. Longest lines were (no surprise) 7 dwarves and Peter Pan. Everything else open was a walk on.

We did get stuck on Buzz and had to wait to be evacuated. Miss the FP perk for getting stuck. Was interesting to watch (as we were right near the control panel, barely on the ride) the procedure for getting guests off. They started inside, until were like, hey we are right here please let us off!

Not sure if Disney will continue the late nights like this, as there were not that many people. No food carts open that we could find either.

So do you think the hours were worth an upgrade to deluxe?

$2,800 for 2 extra nights at 2 hours each? If you had a big party and it was all four parks....maybe

But, why not stay in AOA and look at the xmas party tickets? You'll get your MK fix and still save money over switching to Deluxe.
