What kind of wait times have you experienced at Epcot during extended evening hours? Mainly concerned with Guardian of Galaxy. We were there a couple of years ago and the line got very long for Frozen after the nighttime show, is it better to get in line before the show ends?

We went to EP on a day it closed at 9. Got in line for Guardians at 8:50. Wait time said 60 minutes. We were off the ride at 9:25.

Considering the popularity its going to be a long wait.
If you don't mind a very late night then I'd go on a few attractions before getting in line for it and making it the last thing you do.

We went last night. Regular park close was 9. Got in line during fireworks at 9.10. We joined the line just out of the building. Posted was 75. It only took 25 minutes to get to Terry Cruz. They were really moving it along, the ride must have been working really well. I had been in VQ lines that took longer.

On Monday, the posted wait times for Guardians ranged from 40 to 85 minutes during extended hours.

The actual reported wait times ranged from 16 to 47 minutes.

We were there May 19. Got in line around 9:05. Line was inside pretty far up where the glass enclosures are. Made it to the room in 12 minutes. Got off and back in line. This time line was inside but not far in. Waited about 25 minutes for the first room. by the time we got out the line was outside so decided to ride Soarin. When we came back the line we heard Remy was down and the line was pretty far outside.

I would imagine the posted wait times are just as inflated during extended hours as they are near park closing on regular days.

Also remember that there are no more LL sold after 9pm (or whatever time they use to determine park close for LL), so you won't have anyone in the LL. It will all be standby which will help with shorter wait times.

I want to do the 3 world showcase rides during Extended Evening Hours in July. What's the best strategy? Can I just start with Gran Fiesta and then work my way through Norway and end at Remy (so I can exit to the skyline)? Or is there a better strategy? Also, once when I was there they wouldn't let you walk from Frozen to Remy directly through World Showcase; they made you go the other direction (past Mexico, UK, Canada). Does anyone know if they still do that?

Your strategy seems fine, in all likelihood there won’t be much of a wait for Grand Fiesta. You will not be able to walk past Norway during EEH, it’s blocked/roped off. You will have to go the same route you did prior, past Mexico and Canada to get to Remy.

Is it safe to assume that Guardians (and the other rides) get better as it gets later?

Generally, but it also depends on what's going on with the other 2 big rides, because...

If all rides stay open I would assume so. If one headliner goes down (Frozen or Remy) I think it’ll push wait times higher.

...of this. We were fortunate in that all three were behaving when we hit up EEH on 5/26, so the line moved fairly quickly.

This is absolutely the case 99% of the time. It was posted about 70 or so when we jumped in line near the end of the night and the actual wait to the preshow was more like 15-20. The only time I've seen a wait not be inflated like that was a couple days later at MK EEH, Tron was posted like 80 and absolutely looked it. But that night was insanely busy, the worst I've ever seen EEH there.
