Looking at your ticker, I think you're going over Memorial Day, so it might be a bit different in terms of pricing structure, but for any planning at Universal I do, I use
this site. It shows all of the hotels at once, which is nice. You cannot check
AAA rates on that site, but if there's any curiousity about if there's an Annual Passholder rate that might be good enough to buy one and get that rate, you can check that by using APH in the code field.
That site lets you book room-only rates, which are cancellable to about 5 days before (you put an average one-night's deposit down and pay the rest when you are there). Then you buy tickets wherever you wish. It's generally less expensive to do it that way than to buy any sort of package. Now, sometimes packages give you something you can't get otherwise, but those types of packages are rare. (the HP package for the special event at the end of January had good things in it, but the normal HP package touts breakfast at 3 Broomsticks, which just about anyone can get now, for examples)
