Express Pass for Jan/Feb 2015

I know, planning early. We are planning to hop over to US during the middle of our stay at WDW.

We are not into harry potter really at all. My boys want to do the roller coasters. We are going last week in Jan or first week in Feb next year 2015. Most likely will be a weekday that we go over there. We plan on one day at each park at US

Do we need the express pass? I looked up staying on site to get it included, but the hotels don't seem to be set up for families bigger than 4 (we have 6) and they are expensive!

Since you are only going for a day and crowds will be heavy after Diagon Alley opens, I would say yes...you will need EPs to do everything. EPs are purchased separately so you can buy as many as you need. BUT...I would wait until you arrive to see how bad the lines are. If you get there early, you should be able to do some of the attractions w/o much of a wait. In all honestly...it's WAAAAAY too early to know what the crowds will be like but we should have an idea long before your trip. Then you can revisit the plan.
