Pretty nervous! We are going to be at US/IOA July 13 and 14. Can't believe the late opening! Do you think the Express Pass lines still be short with crowds that will be there? Planning on doing Diagon Alley in the AM each day and then hitting the rest of the park in the PM. What do you think?

I am also interested in some feedback on this.. We are going to be at the park July 16-19 and plan on doing the same thing as you. Our plan is be at the gate 30 minutes before early hours begins, head straight to DA and try get in line for Gringgotts or the Hogwarts Express, after that we plan to stay away from Potterville in both parks until possibly close to closing. I am also wanting to know if while making our way to the gates for the early hours, if we will have to weave our way through hundreds of people waiting at the front of the gate for the regular park hours to begin? Never been during something like this so I have no idea what to expect.

I didn't think of that. I'd like to know too. We'll be there July 8 - 12.

Your guess is as good as any. We are there though the whole grand opening this year. We are happy but it's going to be a zoo. If it's way to packed were not even going the the parks that day. Lucky for us we go all the time so I'm not waiting hours for something I can do another week.

I hope that they have soft EE for hotel guest though before grand opening.

We were there about three weeks after Wizarding World opened four years ago. We had to walk to the park, as the water taxis don't start running until 8 a.m. Just make extra time for that. We had no trouble getting through the gates. We got there at 7:30. We did quite a bit in our extra hour. I remember a mob line of people waiting to get inside the Harry Potter part of the park at 9:00 a.m. I am hoping all will go well this time and that Express Pass works with so many there!

Like Forbidden Journey, I don't think Gingotts and Hogwarts Express will have Express pass.

None of the HP rides have the Express pass.

Dragon challenge and hagrids kiddy coaster ride both have express pass.

Counting down to 14th May!

If one gets right on the train when first get in DA, won't they be dumped at IOA and have a line there to ride the train back to US and DA? I assume there is different themeing on the rides each way and you'd want to ride both ways but there would be two lines to stand in.

My guess is that since it is summer, other non HP stuuf will be very busy too( it usually is in summer anyway)..
The hogwarts express will only be ONE way rides during peak times

I am told they will NOT open the express line for Gringotts in the short term, at least 6 months, probably. And I am hearing 1 ride one way, anything else will be a "reride" line, and expected to have extremely longer lines if allowed at all.

Yes I was assuming that Hogwarts Express would only be one ride, one way but I thought that if we started in IOA we would ride it to DA and then get in line for Gringotts. If we start in US and head strait to DA then we will of course ride Gringotts first then take Hogwarts Express to IOA.

It seems to be standard practice at US to make the express line with a new attraction but to not use it right away. The still do not have the express line open for use on FJ yet. I think it took 2 years or so for Rip Rock to use it too. So I think it would be safe to assume that there will be none for Gringotts.

:thumbsup2

I think the only 2 recent attractions that used the express line almost right away was Despicable Me and Transformers

Gringotts ride will have an Express Pass line. The express line will be all inside while the regular line will take you to exterior queue.

where are you getting your info? Everywhere Ive read gringotts won't have an express line... not even for hotel guests anymore. Forbidden journey would have one before gringotts would be my thoughts.

I have heard that hogwarts express may do something similar to a disney fastpass...
