I’ll be doing a split stay in July With my son. The 12-15 will be staying at Old Key West without a car and we both have Disneyworld AP’s. We will be going to the Moonlight Magic at Hollywood Studios. From the 15-25, we will be staying off site with a car and plan on converting a 5 year old 3 day pass at Universal to an AP that includes free parking and express Pass after 4. That’s 10 days at Universal and I’m *** that is more than enough time to ride every ride that my 14 year old son wants to ride. We will probably hit the parks half of the mornings for 3-4 hours, then again around 4-6 for a couple of hours. Is having express pas after 4 that big of an option? As my Disney AP expires just after Thanksgiving, I plan on using my Universal AP at least 1-2 more times during the year.

Your talking about the Premier Annual Pass. It’s nice to have the perk of Express Pass after 4 pm. It allows you one Express ride per ride after 4 pm.

There are two kinds of Express Pass.

The Unlimited Express Pass which comes with staying at RPR, PBH and HRH. You can also purchase this one. This pass allows you Unlimited Express rides on the rides.

The Express Pass which is included in your Premier AP allows you one Express ride per ride after 4 pm.

You can also purchase an Express Pass that allows you one Express ride per ride.

Having Express is very helpful especially during the busy summer months when everyone is vacationing.

The free parking and valet parking option is nice.

Don’t forget to use your Pass for discounts on food and merchandise.

You can also get AP discounts on on-site Resorts with your AP.

Universal is very good to their AP holders.

Welcome to the club.

Yes it is. We love after 4 express, we go early and then take a break and go back around 4:00. It makes us not feel like we have to stay at an Express pass hotel, sapphire is just fine.

This is exactly us too. We love staying at various resorts (stayed at all but Surfside so far). Makes each vacay feel a bit different and don’t have to stress when, for example, Aventura or Sapphire Falls is $150 per night vs. RPR $420 per night. We’ve been visiting on average once per month so it’s a great money saver to stay prime value or similar now and then. We LOVE Sapphire Falls too. It’s in our top two!

This is me too!! Especially if staying offsite the free parking/valet is huge. We've gone during super busy times (week between Christmas/NY ) and the EP after 4 works great-especially as parks are open so much later at that time.

Express after four is amazing. Most of the year anyway, busy times it can still be a long wait. Express is advertised as waiting up to half the standby wait time. Aside from holidays, it’s usually 5-10 mn wait for most things. Some attractions have a very different queue for express. For example, Spiderman Express is different from standby but still themed. Forbidden Journey and MiB you skip part of the queue features. If there’s any attraction you particularly like, it’s usually worth seeing both queues if the standby line isn’t too long. Some things you don’t miss anything, like Gringotts.

Express for shows is pretty much useless. They just let you in first.
