SKY NEWS reporting survivors from Paris Bataclan concert being bussed out of the area, they were on the upper levels of the venue
I am so very sorry this is happening to you and your wonderful countrymen. My thoughts and prayers go out for you.More on the state of emergency
A bill has been passed closing down every theatre, meeting arenas and so on, until further notice
Gatherings on streets are forbidden u til further notice
Any person considered to hve ''dangerous activities'' can now on house arrest
All they have to do is make ISIS law abiding.
You're right in the political/public opinion sense. The politicians will make a big fuss if anyone is even offended...much less killed! In a perfect world, that's how people should look at it. But in the real world, it doesn't happen that way.
Let's be honest, though I admit I've never been there, my guess is that it would be easy to shoot your way past any bag check stations with AK-47s and grenades, and then move into the crowds.correct, there are bag scanner machines at the entrance to Disney Village and at the Parks entrance , also outside the hotels.
Nevermind. There have been NO CONFIRMATION that ISIS is responsible. There are other terror groups out there
I think we're saying pretty much the same thing. There is no such thing as a "normal" hostage situation -- even for those whose job is to deal with hostage situations. Every situation is different, and the determination of "out-of-control" is different in every case. Sometimes you can negotiate, and other times you can't.ITA politics does leave the equation. But disagree on the time element. This is not a "normal" hostage scenario. Imagine they have multiple targets lying on the ground, the are systematically walking and double tapping. Which is what is seems is this, expedience may be your best outcome. There is sometimes no negotiating.
You have to do what you think will save the most.

Yep...but they have tougher. Much tougher.France has the French Foreign Legion and those guys are tough.
NY Capitol District is in. I just saw a report that all of the students from Skidmore College (local to me) that are studying in Paris are safe and accounted for.Boston Strong! Miami Strong!
Anybody else in?
I'm writing this backstage at Allegiance, my heart heavy with the news from Paris, aching for the victims and their families and friends.
There no doubt will be those who look upon immigrants and refugees as the enemy as a result of these attacks, because they look like those who perpetrated these attacks, just as peaceful Japanese Americans were viewed as the enemy after Pearl Harbor. But we must resist the urge to categorize and dehumanize, for it is that very impulse that fueled the insanity and violence perpetrated this evening.
Tonight, hold your loved ones, and pray or wish for peace, not only from guns and bombs, but from hatred and fear. If it is our freedom and joy they seek to destroy, give them not that victory. Against the forces of darkness and terror, love and compassion shall always prevail.#JeSuisParis

That sounds really nice. There's an old saying, "you can wish in one hand and crap in the other, guess which one fills up first?" Islamic terrorists don't care about love and peace and quite frankly we will never see this world wide. When people quit trying to live in a fantasy and wake up to reality you will realize there's only one way to handle these groups. Prayer, wishing, talking isn't going to work. What don't people get? The Vatican is now saying we need to go after them, the Vatican. From George Takei, on Facebook:
