EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I'm the one who posted about our incident with the bartending at BC last week. Please don't let it scare you off :). It was only one incident with one CM. The other CM's were outstanding. The refurbished lounge and rooms are very, very nice! I posted our room pictures in this thread, probably a few pages back now.

oh i'm not scared off. we are frequent club level visitors and have been for decades :) When I read little things like this though it does make me wonder where the cm got that idea. I've seen such big changes in club level over the years and seen people comment on these boards that people abuse the alcohol in club level although i've never seen it happen myself. I don't like to feel monitored in the lounges and hope that won't be the next change. I like the idea of a bartender serving the drinks if its as a courtesy to the guests. :) Hope you had a great visit!

Hello all! Well...with the poly construction looking like its nearing the end stages, I'm thinking that this summer might be a great time to check it out. Regarding the Cl lounge, can someone who stayed recently let me know if the coffee machines in the lounge are the new "Nespresso" cappuccino type machines like at GF. Also, is sparkling water available, like San Pellegrino? Just wondering if our favorites are available like at SL CL. Also, are the robes the ones with the super soft plush inside and smooth cotton outside like at GF? Any help you can offer answering these is much appreciated! Thank you so much!

Ugh---so---just read a few pages back regarding lack of food at poly cl versus other cl resorts. We've stayed at SL this past summer and have tried BC Cl as well a handful of years ago. We don't want to be disappointed, so any recent reviews of Poly cl are greatly appreciated. We can always do BC/YC Cl or SL again. Can't go wrong--I think!

happymom, we stayed Poly CL in January and the breakfast was in the "OK" category. But we're not big into breakfast, so that's fine with us. It's enough to start the day and I do like the pineapple and "that juice" as our family calls it! But Poly CL didn't offer the hard boiled eggs like at BC and BWI, nor the meats/cheeses we've seen at GF RPC and BC CL. Evening appetizers for our last stay included a number of fried items and cheese cubes that weren't the same quality that we saw at BC or AKL, for example. One night last year during a Poly CL stay, the appetizers were fantastic - sushi, tuna, an amazing salad. So maybe we just didn't hit the best items during our 5-night stay in January.

Even so, we'll return to Poly CL for other reasons - lounge view, lounge space, new pool, overall atmosphere, spectacular location and transportation options, etc. Right now, my favorite CL breakfast is definitely in the BC lounge. Evening appetizers were particularly good in the GF RPC, AKL, WL and BC lounges. But we're planning to return to Poly CL at some point in 2016 because so many other factors enter into the resort-selection equation!

So I just booked a last minute solo trip using my AP, in a Lagoon or Pool View - Club Level room at the Yacht Club for 4/14-4/20. I hope I will like staying here and any reassurance would be great.

Has anyone been to the Poly lately to know which night they usually have sushi in the lounge? I'm in the process of making some dinner ADR's and want to coordinate with the lounge sushi night.

Would somebody here be able to describe the amenities in the deluxe club level room at WL? How does it compare, for example, to a one bedroom villa? In the pictures on the wdw website I saw two beds in one room and then I'm assuming a pull out couch? Is there a microwave and refrigerator? Is there one bathroom? Washer/dryer? If not, is the laundry facility far? We are DVC owners so have stayed in studios and one bedrooms but never in a deluxe club level room. I have three kids, ages 11, 9, and 4 so some room to spread out and relax is always appreciated as we do spend the afternoons at the resort. Thanks so much!

My information may be outdated because our "sushi night" in the Poly CL lounge was a year ago. But it was Monday night. In January of this year, we stayed Poly CL and did not see sushi during our stay. We stayed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So Monday may still be "sushi night!"

I haven't stayed in a deluxe CL room at WL, but I toured one two weeks ago. Two queen beds in one room and a pull-out sofa in the other. It's not a large space. One bathroom and no washer/dryer. The deluxe CL rooms at WL are in different locations and different floors - some near the lobby and some near the lake. We're planning to book a deluxe CL room at WL next year because I'm traveling with our three boys and my parents and the rooms sleep six. But after seeing the room, I would not describe it as a place to spread out and relax. We're planning to use the room for sleep and the CL lounge as a place to hang out and relax. That works well for us because we enjoy CL lounges and our youngest is all about the kids' areas, small tables/chairs, cartoons and making friends.

Perfect - thanks!

We are 17 days out and Magic Bands arrived yesterday. This is the worst time of the trip process for me. All dining reservations and fast passes are made and I'm just....waiting! Saturday DH and I started the game of "What would we be doing 3 weeks from today?" It has turned into a fun way to review plans and so far we haven't changed a thing!

I was amused yesterday when I asked DH if would could walk a bit on Saturday our arrival day at AKL since we are driving most of the day. His response...Of course we're walking. I want one of those Rum Dole whips from Animal Kingdom  :drinking1

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanks! Does this mean that the deluxe CL rooms might not be near the CL lounge at WL? I've never stayed at the hotel so I have no idea what the layout is like. Could there be significant walk to the lounge?

Yes, that's correct. The room I toured was on the first floor near the lake and the boat dock, so it was a bit of a walk. On the way there, we walked through the hallways, but on the way back, we cut through the inner courtyard and that made it seem a little closer. When booking the deluxe CL room, I plan to request "close to lounge, high floor, inner courtyard view." I usually don't make that many requests, but giving it a try under these circumstances.

We've stayed in a few rooms at other resorts that aren't close to the lounge - a 2-bedroom suite and deluxe room at BC and a regular CL room at AKL. In both cases, it wasn't the end of the world to be far from the lounge. But I'd far prefer a room a bit closer - just more convenient for us with the kids.

We had sushi in May and November. I was there on Mondays so maybe that's the night but I can't remember.

I agree with pixarmom for the most part.

I go to GF for food and Poly for the most gorgeous views!

To get up and sit with coffee and watch the MK area wake up is wonderful! Cant' see the castle from Sugar Loaf!!!

Also the chef at Poly comes out and talks to guests. He truly seems to care that we enjoy what he has made especially for us.

As for food they do have oatmeal! The evening appetizers usually are 2 hot plus fruits and cheeses. The pineapple has a bowl of caramel next to it. Make sure to take some for dipping, YUMMMM!

The special punch, well it is special.

Some afternoons there are chocolate covered almonds. My mom is still raving about that.

Lastly, there is a bathroom in the lounge on the 3rd floor. This is very convenient on early arrival or late departure days. Or even this would be nice if someone is asleep in room and you don't want to go back and wake them up.

So no not the most food but what is there is good. The building location, lounge and wonderful staff tho makes up for it.

Where are the rum Dole Whips?! I just recently learned of the vodka slushies at the French Pavilion so that's a must-do in November! I think I need to add rum Dole Whip to that list!

I think it's called the Tamu Tamu Refreshments ( https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/animal-kingdom/tamu-tamu-refreshments/ ) in Animal Kingdom where they have the regular and Coconut or Dark Rum Dole Whips. EPCOT has them during Flower and Garden and Food and Wine as well.

I know DH wants the Dark Rum but I'm trying the Coconut! I'll get a taste of the Dark Rum because what's his is mine too :)

Question....

DH & I will be at the BC CL in October for our 30th wedding anniversary. We are coming up on our ADR date and he really wants us to have our anniversary dinner at V&A. I understand in order to get a reservation here you have to contact the restaurant directly so is this something I should do myself or could I have the BC IPO book it for us? Anyone know? I'm excited to try V&A as I've heard nothing but great things about it but I'm also a little nervous as I'm not as an adventurous eater as he is :upsidedow.
