EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Do any of the concierge lounges offer some type of protein with breakfast? I know most don't because they're generally continental breakfasts, but I'm wondering if one or two do. A breakfast protein is my DH's dealbreaker regarding whether we can do CL for our 2016 trip. (I know we haven't started the 2015 trip, but I'm already excited about planning the next one, LOL.) Thanks!

Yes, there is protein. However, as others have said, it's not something like bacon or sausage. There were eggs and peanut butter at AKL in Sept. There may have been other things, but we didn't really notice b/c our diet meant we had a separate tray of food brought for us.

Can you expand on how your diet got you a separate tray of food? Thanks. My DD and I are vegetarians and we both have food allergies. We point them out every time we are CL and they never accommodate us in the lounge. Would love to get lounge food we can eat so any tips you can provide would be awesome. Thanks again!!

So, I am behind.. What is the texting CM's? I am staying at the GF but haven't heard of this.

I'm also curious. We're not CL next trip, and we're booked at the BWI. DS is allergic to dairy and eggs, so for us it wouldn't really be worth it (it looks like the evening offerings usually have some sort of fried item like spring rolls, so there would be much less that he could eat to justify the added expense).

Not much. The Innkeeper's Lounge at the Boardwalk offers hard boiled eggs for breakfast (at least it did last month) and the Royal Palm Club in the GFR's main building offers sliced turkey for breakfast (at least it did in August). However, over the last few years the quality of the turkey has declined to the lowest level: sodium-drenched, processed cheap deli-like slices. Actually it's quite embarrasing that it is even offered at WDW's premiere resort.

All the best. :thumbsup2

The Yacht Club CL also had hard boiled eggs at breakfast last Dec.

I just looked at our pictures from GF in February and they had rolls of turkey, ham and cheese. I seem to remember salmon too for the bagels

Excellent!! Hard boiled eggs would be perfect!! He just needs a very simple protein to go with his breakfast carbs. I combed over menus and pics without luck, but knew y'all would have the answer for me in a snap. :thumbsup2 Thanks!!

Does anyone know if BC offers any kind of protein ? Any kind would be enough for me. Thanks

As of a week ago, AKL does not have hard boiled eggs. They have peanut butter, but you have to ask. They are really pushing quinoa as a source of protein. There is greek yogurt for those who eat dairy.

I thought of a question while in the shower this morning...strange things that I think about in there...

This will be our 4th CL stay. The first was at WL and we had the Grapefruit Shampoo and such that a regular room has. 2nd stay was at GF SL and we had the Sea Marine dark green shampoos. 3rd was at YC in the Commodore Suite and had the Sea Marine.

Is all concierge the Sea Marine or only GF and Suites??

We have celiac's disease. So even small crumbs from someone else's muffin would have my children sick for an extended period of time. Because of the nature of the offerings (breads, pastries etc) we were brought a tray of safe breads, muffins, donuts. If we arrived later when the risk of cross contact would be increased, then they'd have brought us fruit from the back. Though we were the first ones there in the AM so weren't concerned.

Also our entire family of 6 people has celiac's disease so a full tray makes more sense than just bringing a plate for those with the allergy.

I have heard some people are accommodated, and others aren't. The first night at AKL CL, the concierge called the chef, we talked to him, they made a pile of notes, and assured us the next morning everything would be ready. It wasn't.

But we insisted we were told they'd accommodate, and the concierge CM made a couple calls and we had food. We found that despite being told that everything would be seamless for us, it wasn't. Each time we entered the lounge we needed to go through the whole spiel again. We did not have a lot of selection in the afternoon and evenings, though there was always something for us. The morning was perfect though.

At the GF this past August (not CL) we had the dark green shampoo in our room. Last month at CR (CL), we also had the dark green shampoo but when we transferred over to the YC CL, we had the regular grapefruit shampoo in our room. Not sure how they decide which resorts/rooms get what but I have to admit I like the dark green shampoo much better than the grapefruit one :upsidedow

Me too!!!

That was what I wondered about YC. I called housekeeping one night to ask for more shampoo and she said "oh, you are in the Suite so its the VIP set"

I hadn't heard that before..but they brought me a big bag of it all..maybe because we had 3 bathrooms. I LOVE the smell of the Sea Marine and usually end up buying a bottle in the gift shop.

Of course, it's always nicest if you still have extras from your visit...but if you're out:
H2O plus has a good selection right now. If you go to the site, just search sea marine. www.h2oplus.com/

There is a really cute set, they call it "must haves" in the sea marine range. Would be great for travel.
It's currently priced at 25.00. If you use the offer code ship25, your shipping would be free. (I think the free ship deal is good until 11/27)

It sounds like things worked out pretty well, that's good.

JMO, I'm not sure that any club level will be able to deliver regular specialized diets day after day. I think even if they agree, there may be glitches. Maybe the best is to have a plan B. They really aren't set up for things like this, although they try. I would guess if requests increase, they may opt to come up with more of an across the board policy.

On the other hand, they may continue on a case by case basis. Who knows?

I asked about "texting at club level service" when I checked in at poly.

My check-in person didn't even know what is was but the cm sitting at the adjacent desk did.

CR, GF at BC having a test now. She said that it worked great when it started but got busy as people learned about it.

Still in testing but hopeful for future.

I had steamlined checkin. At cr in August I did not have to go to a desk , a cm with an iPad did it off of the ME bus. Today we were escorted to the CL desk for check in.

Room was not ready at 12p, but text at 1pm with room number:thumbsup2

Mom is loving Poly and especially CL!! Her first for both!
Thanks for getting back about the texting!

I greatly dislike the sea spa stuff (though the mint foot cream is heavenly!) - but dream about the grapefruit stuff. I felt sad when we went CL and missed out on the grapefruit stuff.

I have a bunch of grapefruit I could ship ya...it is in the regular rooms we stayed in last month.

Was wondering if the IPO office can see your reservations on MDE? We are getting ready to fly down for our trip in a week and I wondered. I initially had them make all my ADRs, but (as I kinda guessed) I couldn't keep from tweaking and changing them a bit so now my itinerary looks nothing like the one they set up for me. ;) So, can they see that? If they can't, is there any reason I should let them know of all the changes I made? OR does it not matter?

They will see your reservations as they currently stand. If you don't have any keep checking requests left, then they shouldn't change them.

We were at Contemporary Atrium Lounge in Oct, and they had no protein, unless you count the strawberry (artificial sweetener) yogurt. DH was usually hunting down an egg sandwich by 9:30 or so.
