EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

My dd and I had a split stay in August at cr then gf. We loved the texting service. I ran into one of my texting buddies on the elevator at gf. Janice thought it was going well at that time. I am staying CL in poly this week and will ask

1. If poly getting it

2. If cr/gf keeping it
**************************************************************

I will probably post some pics from poly this week on the poly thread if anyone is interested.:goodvibes

Thank you SO much! We will appreciate any and all Poly CL information you can share! Have a great trip - so excited to hear your reports!! Our AKL CL (1 night) /GF CL (2 nights) /Poly CL (5 nights) split is coming up in just 50 days. :)

We have our first CL stay booked at AKL 15-29 Aug 2015. When do IPO usually contact you? I know they don't have any better access for adrs but as the adr window opens in the middle of the day in the UK it could be useful for them to arrange adrs for us

I usually receive a welcome email a day or two after booking, but some have reported not getting anything from IPO. If you don't hear from them soon, you could always email them with all of your information.

So, last night.. I decided to add an extra night to our February stay.. I can't wait

Hi!

I'm staying Club Level for just one night at the Contemporary this December - we're moving to a theme park view tower room for the rest of our stay. I want to set up something "nice" in the room, but I'm really clueless as to what the possibilities are and couldn't find any ideas/information online. I'm definitely not looking for something as elaborate and fancy as the stuff the florist offers. I know they used to have the chocolate monorail and a few other things on their in-house menu. Are they still available?

I'm not looking for champagne and caviar, just something neat to start our stay off on the right (magical) foot. So...help? Please? =D

We just returned from our first CL stay at AKL. It was really a great experience. We got off magical Express and were immediately greeted by someone with an IPad who personally took us upstairs for check in. Our anniversary was noted and they had pins and mimosas waiting for us. Very nice personal touch. Our room was nice. Not too far away from the main lobby which is what I noted for check in online. Turn down service was prompt each night. We found the food offerings to be just right. We had plenty for breakfast. We were able to take beer back to our room. Although the drinks were in the back, they didn't set a limit to what we were able to get. There was liquor out each night with snacks. I didn't partake in those, but people were able to pour whatever they wanted.

We found our experience to be great and even booked a bounce back for this summer while we were there.

I would ask IPO they will have better experience. I have seen pics of chocolate covered strawberries and such posted so I know some nice things available.

Sounds like a lovely trip:goodvibes

I was going to suggest the same thing as the pp, to email or call IPO as they could probably give you some ideas and/or tell you what's available :).

Thanks for your review, glad you had a great experience :wizard:. We love AKL and are hoping to try CL sometime. Congrats on booking a BB :goodvibes.

Thanks! I've got an email in, I was just checking to see if anyone here had done something similar/had ideas/experience/etc. :D

Hello Everyone,

First off thanks for all the wonderful feed back.

Valet Parking: I will check with AKL, I am more worried about day one and and last day getting our luggage situate (lots of costume gear)... however if there is a CM/bell hop that can help with our luggage we don't mind self park, especially if we are crazy enough to get up to get into one of the long lines to get a pass for celebrity autographs during SWW, then we could be leaving the resort as early as 4 am. This is why I asked about weird hours for retrieving the vehicles (Yes I know we are crazy).

NEXT ADRs and IPO staff at AKL: I am pleased to report except for a reservations/events that are locked out right now I have ALL the ADRs I requested listed in my MDE, even some that haven't hit the 180 day mark. AND they are all correct! There were only two ADRs that I didn't get the exact time I asked for. One was 30 minutes later and the other was 10 minutes earlier.

So it looks good for now... we will see if changes have to be made.

They haven't bought my Cirque Due Soleil tickets yet just in case SWW event doesn't happen when we have bet on, because those are non refundable. We should know the exact dates here in December.

Again thank you for all your help. I look forward to hearing more reports from those that have stayed CL and what they deal is and how things should go.

I hope IPO is helpful and has some good suggestions :).

Do any of the concierge lounges offer some type of protein with breakfast? I know most don't because they're generally continental breakfasts, but I'm wondering if one or two do. A breakfast protein is my DH's dealbreaker regarding whether we can do CL for our 2016 trip. (I know we haven't started the 2015 trip, but I'm already excited about planning the next one, LOL.) Thanks!

Not much. The Innkeeper's Lounge at the Boardwalk offers hard boiled eggs for breakfast (at least it did last month) and the Royal Palm Club in the GFR's main building offers sliced turkey for breakfast (at least it did in August). However, over the last few years the quality of the turkey has declined to the lowest level: sodium-drenched, processed cheap deli-like slices. Actually it's quite embarrasing that it is even offered at WDW's premiere resort.

All the best. :thumbsup2

The Yacht Club CL also had hard boiled eggs at breakfast last Dec.

I just looked at our pictures from GF in February and they had rolls of turkey, ham and cheese. I seem to remember salmon too for the bagels

I asked about "texting at club level service" when I checked in at poly.

My check-in person didn't even know what is was but the cm sitting at the adjacent desk did.

CR, GF at BC having a test now. She said that it worked great when it started but got busy as people learned about it.

Still in testing but hopeful for future.

I had steamlined checkin. At cr in August I did not have to go to a desk , a cm with an iPad did it off of the ME bus. Today we were escorted to the CL desk for check in.

Room was not ready at 12p, but text at 1pm with room number:thumbsup2

Mom is loving Poly and especially CL!! Her first for both!

Interesting to hear about the testing. It would be great if they continue with it.
Hope you and your mom have a lovely vacation together. :goodvibes

Thanks for the live update, trishadono! I hope you & your Mom have a great trip!

As I walked my daughter to the bus stop this morning in the freezing cold temperatures we were trying to imagine we were down there at the Poly, warm and toasty. It didn't work. :worried: I'll try again tomorrow. ;)
