EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Hi All!

We have just added 2 "bonus days" to our trip in September, and trying to decide between BLT--TPV (non-CL) or BWI--Standard CL!

I would love any thoughts or opinions? Because they are bonus days, we don't have any set park, it's before Food and Wine, so just can't decide which would be more fun! We would mostly just enjoy the resort, pool, etc.

We will be off property for the remainder of this trip (parents time share)

We are: Me, DH, DS(12), DS(10), DD(8)!

Thanks!!

We've never stayed at either resort, but my choice would be BWI CL, especially if you will be spending alot of time at the resort. Good luck with your decision, although I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter which resort you choose :wizard:.

We stayed CL at the Wilderness Lodge last Year around Christmas and loved it, now next summer we are going in August and want to stay CL again but haven't decided where yet. I'm pretty torn between Poly and GF. So I'm looking into info on both resorts.

I saw a photo of the GF main building club level room and though I spied a Keurig coffee maker, is that only in suites or is that an amenity at all the GF club rooms? I think if we did CL at GF it'd be in the Sugar Loaf building, probably not in the main building but just thought I'd ask.

We've never stayed CL at the Poly, but if the choice is between Poly CL and GF SL, I would choose Poly CL. However, if GF RPC (main building CL) was in the mix, I would have to go with that over Poly. We love the Poly as that's our favorite resort overall and I have read great things about their CL, but RPC is just amazing. I didn't care for SL as I found the lounge small/cramped and didn't find it very relaxing as the lounge is located in the center of the lobby as you enter the SL building (just my opinion). Good luck with your decision :).

quick question - I have a CL trip starting 11/21, I have never received a phone call or a letter? Could this be because I had a room at the CR and switched it to WL/CL?? I really just want to make a room request.

I have read reports of others not getting an email when changing to CL after the initial booking. With that said, I would email them to introduce yourself and give them your request ;).

Will report in on the temporary club. My two DDs know we are staying at BC but they don't know I booked club (which they love of course). Excited for the surprise.

Looking forward to the report. Staying there in December and was told the club room will be done by then by the IPO.

I received the letter from AKL right after I did online check in on Tuesday (8/19) for my CL stay 10/18 - 10/22. I had changed from POR to AKL pool view then to AKL CL.

Never feel you need to wait to be contacted by IPO. As soon as you have a confirmed reservation you can email or call them with any requests or questions you may have. :thumbsup2 They are there to help you. :goodvibes

I've read on here of others who for one reason or another never got a welcome email or forms to fill out for requests and plan ect. It's never happened to me personally and I usually get an email from CL within a day ... I would email them first and then if you don't hear back within a day give them a call. Maybe I've been weirdly lucky to hear from them very quickly for all these years and I never knew it until joining this board : )

Thanks for the info. I contacted them via email and received a response that I will receive a response in 24 hours!! ;)

There seems to be an abundance of lazy elitists at RPC this week. They believe that once they bring their food and beverages to their tables and are finished that they expect the hard working CMs (who already have enough to do as they bring out the food, beverages, cups, glasses, napkins, untensils, bowls, ice, etc.) to clean up after them.

We have stayed at the GFR 27 times and clean up after ourselves.

It just might be a "Jersey thing," but I'd like to smack the livin' #&*@ out of those "I paid for it and therefore I am entitled" types.

All the best. :thumbsup2

That is a petpeeve of mine. People can be so disgusting. I'd say bop some manners into them, but it's not nice to hit the stupid.

At YC CL and BC CL, they usually do not have a way to clear your own table, which I find frustrating. I wish they would change that. Probably due to limited space.

When we stayed in BC Club in July, we wanted to clean up after ourselves and when I asked where to put things, was told to leave the dishes on the table. Hopefully there will be more room when the renovations are done and there will be a place to put things.

Best line of the month for sure ... yeah probably not nice to hit the stupid (( so funny though maybe it's just me lol ) We always pick up after ourselves as well and I don't get it how people can just leave a mess eeeekkk! But their probably the same people who go to McDonald's with their kiddos and leave the entire table & floor under their tables full of food and spilled drinks ... Geez hit the trash can people!

When we stayed at WL CL the CMs told us to just leave our plates/cups on the tables and they would clean it up. That was really unnerving to me so I ended up cleaning up after ourselves anyway, but I did see others leaving behind their trash and I figured it's because the CMs told them to.

Last post before heading out for the weekend ... Must get the CL paperwork filled out and sent out, I've only had it for months. I think I'll grab it to take along with us so maybe I'll actually do it : ) I think since booking ADR and special events online is so easy I just don't feel the need to do requests ect as soon ... How about all of you? Officially 77 days until our trip on MDE now but booking to start trip 3 days earlier over the weekend so actually unofficially 74 days and 2 weeks from making our fast pass+ Yikes this is a first for me so I'm sure I'll be lost on what attractions to book and how the tier system works ... I did subscribe to a fast pass + thread so hopefully I can get more information on how to pick ect.
Have a fabulous and fun weekend with your family or friends, Debby

A couple of years ago, management altered SL's policy of a having a convenient rolling cart where guests could return their plates and glasses/cups for the convenience of other guests who were waiting for an empty and clean table. Bye-bye cart.

Now it appears that having guests accomplish such a simple task would spoil their magical experience. Instead, food service/conciererge CMs have to do more in order to cater to entitled guests. And it doesn't make for tables to be cleaned any faster. At least there's a space on the half wall at the RPC where guests can return their items.

We will still clean up after ourselves.

Today we saw some positive efforts. A family had its youngest members bring back their plates and glasses. In another example, a woman with a special dietary needs child got on her hands and knees to pick up a few crumbs. She had more than enough to handle than to pick up crumbs but she was responsible, courteous and displayed a sense of deportment that was rare.

We await Twilight Refreshers and the unique joys that accompany it. :rolleyes1

All the best. :thumbsup2

I have noticed that some CL guests make their room requests through IPO instead of the regular reservation line. I have already registered my requests with CRO, is there any advantage to also contacting my IPO? I'm at the GF, split stay SL/RPC in late September.

Thanks for any input!

The availability of carts and/or tables for dirty plates seems to be ever changing. On my most recent CL stay at the BWI a couple of weeks ago we were walking around with our dirty plates in our hands trying to figure out where to put them. The table that typically sat near the door wasn't there. Mary, the lounge CM who I know fairly well, said "Oh just leave those anywhere and I will get to them". I asked her why there wasn't a dirty plate area and she said there had been complaints from guests about not liking the looks of a pile of dirty dishes right by the door so they were in the process of trying to come up with a new idea. Perhaps something that's a bit more out of the way and not near the door where the dirty dishes are on display. The next day the table was back in its usual spot near the door. I'm not sure what the decision was about moving it.

Of course this issue varies greatly by resort because each has their own setup. Shakira in the YC CL lounge is notorious for saying "Leave them leave them!!! and practically chasing us out of the lounge. :lmao: She is such a hoot, I love her. :)

Back on topic with the RPC complaint above, I think you can add the dirty tables to a long list of lounge issues. Honestly, people not throwing away their own trash doesn't bother me nearly as much as the food hoarders who empty full trays of appetizers with people in line behind them just like they are the only ones eating. :sad2: That will never make sense to me. Or people who let their kids go through the line touching all the food with their bare hands. Gross! But despite all of that I think the best thing we can do is try our best to set a good example for others by clearing our dishes, sharing food offerings fairly, and using good manners. :goodvibes
