EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Hey Erika :wave2:,
We have a 1-BR booked at AKL-CL for the last week in July. Our second CL trip to AKL and first DVC stay here.
Really looking forward to hearing about your trip as usual.

And great job with the thread. Teena and Dee would be proud!

We're coming up on our 180 + 10 days soon. I can't decide whether to let the IPOs try to make them or do it myself. The only ADR I'm nervous about is BOG. I'm trying to get a table for 10 which I know will be a huge challenge anyway. If they don't try immediately when it opens up I don't think there will be much chance. But, I've heard a lot of success stories about letting them do your ADRs. Any advice or thoughts?

Thanks!

I was able to get a table at 30 days out for 7 people! Love the help i have gotten from the poly CL planners!

Okay - that makes me feel more confident about letting them try. I have a feeling they will have more luck with it than me.

If it was me, I would probably give it to them to try and get but would be trying on my own as well.:)

And yes.... I do like to be in control.....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I agree with this. You can try along with IPO looking as you can always cancel one should you end up with 2 for the same place. It never hurts, IMO, to have another person looking, especially for those hard to get ADRs ;).

Hi everyone-
Im headed back to BWI CL in late March 2015 with my mom, two aunts and two cousins (an all adult ladies trip!).
We stayed BWI CL in March 2013 and loved it...we stayed in the Garden Suites and are a bit sad they are only allowing two people to stay but Im sure we will be just fine.
Does anyone know what the updates that The Innkeepers Inn will have done while they are closed in May-June of this year?

Thanks for your help. How would that work? I didn't think you could book 2 reservations for dinner under the same name. Would it be confusing if we were both trying to book at the same time? Thanks again for your help!

The Hawaii building is a rectangle and the lounge is on the end. So rooms gradually get further and further away from the lounge as you walk down the hall. But even if you're down at the other end of the building its not a long walk at all. A minute maybe??? ... It's a very short walk. The food is on the 2nd floor, the 3rd floor offers additional seating, the 1st floor is where the CM's sit. I would focus more on which floor you want. We always request the 3rd floor because those rooms have balconies. The 2nd floor rooms do not. The 1st floor rooms have patios. :) It is an intimate feel, really like a family.

YC CL is great too, if you liked BC CL its almost exactly the same. They do have a larger lounge that has a better flow though, which is nice. :)

I agree with all of this and we like the 3rd floor too. I wouldn't be concerned with lounge distance when staying in the hawaii building. maybe request center or close to lounge on whatever floor you decide.

Oooooo I love those 1 bedroom villas at AKL on CL :) You get the best of both worlds! All the club level benefits mixed with the huge size of the villa. We were upgraded to one on our 10th anniversary and it was perfect! :thumbsup2 Of course the Kidani ones are great too, and have the 2nd bathroom, but for me nothing beats CL and DVC together... I wish more of them would offer that!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but we're just back from a CR and Poly CL split stay. This was our fourth time staying club level, and as dumb as it sounds, I think the amenity I look forward to the most (besides immediate coffee a few minutes after I open my eyes) is the bigger bottles of the H2O Spa products in Sea Salt/Marine, which I love using and then taking home with me since the big bottles that you can purchase in the stores can't go home with us in our carry-on luggage. I think they've discontinued that practice as all we received were the small bottles of the grapefruit bergamot that they give at all of the deluxe resorts. Small gripe--not really a big deal--but just sad that they've scaled back on the products.

If you have any questions about either lounge, let me know. :thumbsup2

AKL IPO got us BOG last week and we were only 3 weeks out at that time. :) But I totally agree about looking for yourself as well. It doesn't hurt to have 2 people searching, and you can always cancel any duplicates. :thumbsup2

I hadn't heard they were closing, but since that is such a short amount of time I would guess it isn't anything too major. Maybe some new carpet or curtains, etc. Have they said yet where the temporary location will be? Hopefully the Steeplechase suite, that would be awesome!!!! :thumbsup2

IPO doesn't book dining through your MDE account. So you could both be looking at the same time and it wouldn't matter. :)

My biggest concern right now for Poly CL would be view. The construction of the over-water villas looks like an eyesore at this point, plus I'm not too sure even once they're done if they will look that much better. I think I would book Garden View.

Did the Poly CL use to have the H2O spa products? I only remember ever having them at the GF. We definitely didn't have them at the Poly last year, here is a pic I took in August 2013:

I totally agree that the Spa products are AWESOME!! I remember asking the mousekeeper at the GF for more body butter and she brought me like 10 of them to take home! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Maybe I'm lamenting something that wasn't available? I know we got much bigger bottles at the GF and at Boardwalk, so I just assumed it was standard with all CL rooms.

This is what I received last summer in both CL rooms (next to a standard bottle so you can see size difference)
