EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Maybe I'm lamenting something that wasn't available? I know we got much bigger bottles at the GF and at Boardwalk, so I just assumed it was standard with all CL rooms.

I went back and looked at some of my older Poly CL pictures and before the grapefruit they had the blue bottles of H20 products, you might be remembering those. They seemed bigger probably because they were tall and thin ... I don't have a close up but here is what they looked like in 2011:

I'm 99% sure they've never had those at the Poly CL. Unless it was a suite maybe???

12th. Maybe they supply bigger bottles on the 14th? ;)

I've never stayed CL at the CR but I bet the 14th gets the best of the best. Same with GF RPC. ;) Hopefully someone with experience on those two will come by here and help. :D

Thanks for your help. How would that work? I didn't think you could book 2 reservations for dinner under the same name. Would it be confusing if we were both trying to book at the same time? Thanks again for your help!

You're welcome :). Thanks to TigrLvsPooh for answering this for you :thumbsup2.

IPO doesn't book dining through your MDE account. So you could both be looking at the same time and it wouldn't matter. :)

Thanks for answering this about IPO :goodvibes. I guess I never thought about the conflict of 2 people booking the same day/time (or close to same time) being a problem until ToyStory3 brought that up. But since IPO doesn't book through a guest's MDE account, there's no problem, which is good to know ;).

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but we're just back from a CR and Poly CL split stay.

If you have any questions about either lounge, let me know. :thumbsup2

My biggest concern right now for Poly CL would be view. The construction of the over-water villas looks like an eyesore at this point, plus I'm not too sure even once they're done if they will look that much better. I think I would book Garden View.

Same here! We're booked at Poly - GV CL - later this month. So not concerned about the view from our room, but how was the view from the lounge? Can you sit in a certain area and avoid a construction view, or is it right in the middle of the view from most spots in the lounge?

This is what I received last summer in both CL rooms (next to a standard bottle so you can see size difference)

We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite at BWI last month, and they provided the larger bottle pictured above in all three bathrooms. I was hoping that meant all CLs switched to these bottles, but based on your experience, I'm guessing it's just the suites.

I follow tikiman on facebook and he has tons of photos of the current construction view from the lounge and the beach. Looks like a nightmare to me.

Thank you Erika! I'm actually not on facebook, so I would not have known about this and really appreciate the reference! Yikes. Always better to be prepared, right? I think it's kind of better with a building structure than just the metal sitting out in the water. At least that's what I'm telling myself!!

I just have a serious issue with paying $100+ more per night over the price of garden view to look at cranes and construction. I'd rather overlook the backside where the quiet pool is. I don't think it's under construction yet at this point. July I think I read on tikimans site. If you don't have facebook you can still see all his photos and reports on his regular website. It is very thorough.

Personally, I didn't find the construction that disturbing at the Poly or in the lounge. The construction is evident from the lounge, and would be more of an eyesore the further down the hallway you go, but from the lounge, it's not the only thing you see. We did a garden view, so we overlooked the quiet pool, which was quiet and serene and had no signs (that I remember) of construction. Right now, I wouldn't pay extra to look out onto the water, unless I would be guaranteed a room fairly close to the lounge.

I think I found the construction to be more intriguing than awful to look at. But, honestly, right now, it seems that so much of Disney is under construction that a crane and scrims is just par for the course. This past week, the moats were drained, the crane is still up at the castle, the mine train is still being worked on, the Poly's under construction, the monorail was being maintained, etc. etc., etc. The only things that aren't being worked on in the monorail/Magic Kingdom loop are the GF and the CR.

Here was the view from the lounge as of Friday (3/7):

To the left (no construction evident):

To the right (and by Saturday, there were roof rafters on the buildings):

Personally, I don't think it's that bad, and the construction didn't bother us at all. This summer may be a different story with the pool closures and the GCH renovations.

Here was Saturday's progress (from the sidewalk outside of Hawaii by the hair wrapping station with the pool behind me):

Interesting. We stayed Boardwalk Deluxe CL (not a suite, but the bigger room with the pull out couch and extra TV) and GF Sugarloaf. It's too bad they don't give all of the CL guests the nicer toiletries. Again, a small little observation that's not really a big deal. It's just nice to not worry about bringing toiletries from home when you have a bottle that's big enough for the whole family to use and is a product you actually enjoy and like using.

Very true, the view of the GF is still the same. But the castle is what I want to look at ... with the pointy roof style on those bungalows now the castle is almost completely blocked. :( I just can't see paying more money over garden view to look at that.

We thought about changing our AKL CL this month to Poly GV CL, I saw a room become available a few days ago, but the AP rate for friday and saturday nights was $835 per night. Sugarloaf was $934 per night. No way I'm paying that much. I don't like how they blackout the AP discounts on weekends.

The view of the castle from the lounge is unobscured, even with the roofs on. But I do think that the bungalows are going to ruin the view for people further down the hallway in Hawaii, and certainly for those on patios and the second floors (and probably the third floor, too.) (But I can't speak from actual experience--just a guess). Perhaps Disney will moderate prices on these rooms if there are enough complaints about the premium.

Visually though aren't the roof lines only about an inch to the right of the castle? I would like to see a picture of how that affects the fireworks view since so many of those are off to the side of the castle itself.

I hadn't heard they were closing, but since that is such a short amount of time I would guess it isn't anything too major. Maybe some new carpet or curtains, etc. Have they said yet where the temporary location will be? Hopefully the Steeplechase suite, that would be awesome!!!! :thumbsup2
There is no temporary location. When the lounge is closed for rehab, all of the BWI CL room categories are not available during that time.

Wow, wonder why they decided to do that? We've stayed in CL when the lounge is under refurb and they always just move it. That's very interesting they'd choose to close down the whole level... suites too?? That is a huge amount of money to lose.

Oh my goodness it pays to keep checking!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I have been obsessively checking availability for a month. It's not that we were unhappy with AKL CL , we just know we like to be closer to Epcot because that's our main hang out spot. ;) I tried to get YC/BC for 3 months, nothing ever popped up. The last couple of days availability was getting less and less for CL rooms... last week they had AKL, WL, and GF, this week the only thing popping up was the Poly. I would have taken the GF but the friday and saturday night rates were rack (close to a thousand bucks per night) and I knew that was out of our budget. So we kept checking... over and over... and sure enough, just about 20 minutes ago someone canceled a room at the CR in atrium club and I snatched it up!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: I'm so glad I'm a travel agent now because it makes it so easy to change things. :thumbsup2 This will be our FIRST TIME in CL at the CR and we are sooooooo thrilled!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: What a great way to spend my birthday!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
