EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Erika you always have such a nice way with words! :)

I am with Erika. I have never had a major issue at WDW though I DID Have miscommunication from the booking agent CMs on various things - like if you stay club level you get free dry cleaning, I remember hat one clearly!

. Last summer I did a two night stay before YC and stayed at OKW and that was a complete nightmare with the bands. Had to switch them every day b/c they wouldn't work on the door yet worked at parks fine. And let me tell you, hiking from OKW room all the way to the main hospitality center is a 20 minute ordeal each way. VERY ANOYING but I guess b/c I have worked in both the technical and customer end of businesses I understand the front line people are just as frustrated as the customer...But in all my Disney stays I can think of ONCE where turndown service was forgotten and I can't think of one time where the room was forgotten to be made up....Bad luck for sure! Sorry it happened o you!!!!!

Awww thanks ;)

Bummer on the OKW to HH hiking, that's a beast! We love OKW , my kids actually cut across the golf course one year to get to the HH faster and I was mortified! LOL :rotfl:

We stayed in 2010. Our only complaint was that the rooms are on the fourth floor, and the lounge on the sixth. I understand the reason for this is that the fourth floor is optimum savannah viewing, and for this reason, we were ok with it. The lounge is lovely, with a stunning view of the lobby, especially at night. Food offerings were good and plentiful, and the staff was delightful. If you don't mind being a wee distance from the lounge, I'd say go for it!

Thanks for your mini review. AKL CL is one we want to try. We have stayed at AKL and love it and I have read so many great things about CL that we're hoping to give it a try soon :goodvibes.

We are super excited - we don't mind an elevator ride to the lounge - excited to try all of the offerings and to have wonderful savannah views! We went for it!

Congrats on upgrading :thumbsup2. Hope you have a great trip and will give a review of your stay when you return :).

Thanks! So excited to try it out! I'll definitely let you all know how it goes! :-)

Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew what was the best way to handle a room request. I already requested with the IPO at YC CL. Is there anything else I should do? Should I add the request to my original reservation and if so do I need to call reservation line for that? Than you for all your help.

It wouldn't hurt to have the request added to your reservation, along with notifying IPO. Just call the regular reservation number and tell the CM you want to add a room request :).

Wow jcota! It sounds like a lot of things went wrong with your stay. :scared1: Sorry that happened to you!

They really said "don't know, who the hell are you??" Like, actual words? Honestly, that would probably make me cry (and I'm usually pretty tough) but that is completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Certainly not magical. :confused3

Those were the exact words. I was pretty shocked when I heard that coming out of the mouth of the CM. I had to ask my wife is that what she said and she replied yup..... I think the farther you stay away from the park the kinder they are. I will stay at another Disney resort because I am a glutton for punishment. However, I will never spend the money that I did for the concierge level. If I wanted to be treated like a dog, I will just stay at home and go to the in-laws!!! LOL

Hello.
I've recently upgraded to YC CL. I'll be a total of 3 rooms.
Should I request anything particular? Is it possible
For adjoining rooms.

This is my first time in 8 years sound Disney. All other years I've stayed in the value resorts. In beyond excited!!

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I am GUESSING you booked YC Club Level Standard view b/c garden has only 5 rooms and to get 3 of the 5 would be very lucky!!! But then again maybe you booked Lagoon? I will assume STandard on my reply. Standard rooms have a very standard view...And can be a hike to the lounge. So if being close to the lounge is important to you I would note that in your reservation like "Connecting rooms close to lounge". However connected rooms will be very hard to luck out into b/c they only promise that if minors are involved. So I would focus on all three of u asking to be near the lounge and assume you will be within proximity of each other.

Yes, we are standard view.
Is that bad? Should I try to upgrade?
Being new to this I'm not sure what to do!
Thanks for your advice though.
Do I call the concierge myself of have the TA request this

This is exactly where I was headed with my decision! Even though the kids are a little older (7,9,11), I always freak out if I lose them in a crowd!! We are going mid-September, but assume it is always crowded?

Thank you everyone for your help!!!

Update: Crazy Clown Slide It Is!!! Just booked BWI-Deluxe CL!! Thanks again for the input!!

You will not be disappointed!!! We stayed BWI CL last summer and had an AMAZING experience :) I've stayed at the YC, not CL, and loved it, but I'm one of the few people that doesn't "love" SAB. Granted, my kids are only 6 and 3 so for me, chasing them around SAB is stressful, especially since our DD6 loves the slide but our little guy can't do it, so literally we are in different directions all of the time. I find the pool at BWI so much more relaxing and DD loves the clown slide so it's a win-win.

As for the BWI CL, the staff is out of this world. I left feeling like we had a set of new friends :) The food and beverages were very nice and the lounge was spacious enough and relaxing.

Have fun!!

This is good to hear about BWI CL (although I haven't read too many negatives about it). We've stayed at the BC and feel the same as you about SAB. We enjoyed our stay and I'm glad we were able to try SAB, but it's not one of our favorites as there are others we prefer. With that said, BWI is a resort I'd like to try as I have always thought the BWI pool looked great (not to mention, the BWI is a beautiful resort).

BWI is our favorite resort :goodvibes Love the theme and the location (the bakery is pretty cool too!)....Here's what I love about the pool: DD6 swims at the Y and is a strong swimmer but I would never let her swim out of my sight. The pool is big enough that it's exciting for her and manageable for our DS3. Truthfully, I am not much of a swimmer, but I do love relaxing by the pool. It's perfect because DH and can go in with DS and I can sit at a table near the side and keep an eye on DD. Maybe as they get older, things will change, but for now this is ideal :goodvibes

It's hard to beat the location if you spend alot of time at Epcot and DHS :). With that said, I wish Disney would put a CS option comparable to what the other deluxe resorts have as that's the only thing that keeps us from booking another Epcot resort. We find the Marketplace at the BC to be too limited for what we like (although that wouldn't be very convenient anyway if staying at BWI). Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. The resort itself has always appealed to me, so hopefully one of these days we'll be able to give it a try ;).

Just wanted to mention that even though we prefer SAB, the room decor at BC and the overall theme, BWI has become a family favorite when staying CL. The lounge and the atmosphere are just that great. And it's a good value when you book standard CL and your boardwalk view request is granted! It's actually my favorite room view in all of WDW (I know, it's odd to prefer a view of BC and Crescent Lake over a view of the castle, but I do.)

We don't use CS much, and with CL we typically avoid CS entirely. Of course, there is one important exception: Les Halles in France, which is outstanding!

So I have a question since I've never stayed CL before...we'll definitely be using it for breakfast before hitting the parks and some snacks when we take afternoon breaks, but how do you get away with no CS? Do you just do 1 TS a day? And just snacks instead of lunch or what?

Standard view in all deluxe resorts means a view of the roof or parking lot. However, there are three standard view YC CL rooms that look directly over the entrance to the resort that share an oversized balcony that comes out over the port cochere. It would be an absolutely perfect place for a group traveling together if you got all three rooms!!!! Come over to the YC/BC thread and I am sure someone even has the room numbers. Those rooms were topic of conversation not too long ago because someone had a concern about getting one if them and then the other two rooms opening up onto this HUGE balcony. But as I was saying, if you had all three it would be great!!!'

Hi Koh! I definitely think aspects of our touring/dining plans are unique. First, my husband is very CS averse - he doesn't like it at Disney or anywhere else, and we avoid CS as much as possible wherever we travel. The whole standing in line to place an order just bugs him - and when it's our entire family of five trying to decide what to order, it's worse! At Les Halles, I try to leave him outside and I go in by myself because I know what everyone wants.

So here's our typical routine: We eat breakfast in the club lounge each morning, then get to rope drop at our park-of-the-morning. We usually have a lunch ADR around noon, and then we're back at the resort by 2 or 3pm. We spend time at the resort, get ready for dinner, stop by the lounge for evening appetizers and head out to our dinner ADR. We usually have dinner around 7 or 7:30pm, which is the time we eat at home.

We haven't done the dining plan in years, and we have APs, so we buy the TIW card for dining discounts. We've been to almost all the TS restaurants at WDW over time, so it's hard to fit in everyone's favorites each trip, even with two ADRs per day. We've also found that TS is a great retreat from the parks and builds in breaks that we need (especially our youngest.) And we like planning, so it's not a problem for us to have meals scheduled.

As for the amount of food, two TS per day fits our very varied eating styles. Plenty of food for my husband and our oldest son (he's 14 and eats more than anyone else in the family.) But I'm a relatively light eater, and so is our middle son. So our youngest two order kids meals at TS, and I just order an appetizer. As a result, three of us eat no more at a TS than we would at a CS. For example, at San Angel Inn for lunch earlier this week, I just ordered soup for lunch. We typically avoid fixed price meals (exception: Garden Grill - that's our arrival night tradition) so that everyone can order according their own preferences and it's still a good value.
