EXPIRED - Direct Sales Incentives - Summer 2020 - Expanded list!

I know AKV is available, I was asking about changes to direct perks and they were trying to get me to add on to my existing 160pt AKV resale contract.
They said min is 50pt or 100pt to get full benefits, but could buy 50 now and 75 after 10/1 when it goes to 125 min.
He also said my UY was available.

By the way I didn’t get info on changes to blue card benefits
I thought direct add-on minimum was 25...we are looking to add it to our existing direct contract.

Riviera has the highest MFs of any WDW DVC.

All three off-site beach resorts are higher. Hilton Head is $9.10 and Aulani is $8.33.Vero Beach wins though; per point 2020 dues are $10.13. :scared:

Well and depending on how many points you buy it might be a long time if ever before MFs add up enough to even account for the initial buy in price discount of RIV.

Saving like $70/point over BLT or $25/point over CCV will take a while to matter. While I don't think RIV becomes cheaper like other I don't have an issue saying that RIV stays $1 or less within the other resorts in the future (BLT has been increasing more quickly than other resorts as an example).

SSR/OKW might be less upfront but shorter contract and personally not a fan of sleep around points as history has shown it will only get tougher to book rooms (Studios or 2BRs is what I will book 99% of the time - have FW for studios if I want them)

This. I have a Sep UY and literally added on 8/31, got my 2019 points, and won’t close till November due to spreading out of payments on my Disney Premier VISA.
Hey, I just noticed your post and am considering the same with zero percent interest of an empty chase visa for six months and getting points that I was told I won't pay maintenance dues on until closing. Is this what you are doing? I truly don't understand the thing about 2019 points...

You usually pay dues from the date you sign the purchase contract and not closing with direct since they do allow you to spread out payments.

The 2019 thing is nothing more than buying a UY toward the end of it because you get current UY points. Right now, if one was to buy RiV or AUL..maybe CCV... with an Oct or Dec UY, you’d get your 2019 UY points because that is the current UY for those months. Sold out resorts are different and they may or may not still have those points so they won’t sell you a UY if it’s missing them.

What Sandisw said. :-)

We will pay dues from contract signing but the bill won’t become due until we close, so it means we have a window of time before their due. And another nice thing about direct is that dues are prorated from time of purchase.

Because 8/31 is still in the 2019 UY for a September UY - which runs 9/1 to 8/31 - I received 2019 points and then 9/1 my 2020 points began.

Yes, I'm quoting myself a bit here. :rotfl:
Yes, but I don't want to buy at Riviera. I'm debating mainly between BLT and CCV at this point. BLT may not be available though, since it's sold out and CCV is not, per their marketing.

I have an October use year and BLT only had 82 points available yesterday, so CCV it is!

Is it better to use the add-on tool on the website or call? Do I use the 800-800-9800 number?

Pro-tip: this isn't the right number. I called the number listed next to the add-on tool on the website.

I would just call as then you will talk with someone right away.

Thank you.

I realize it's often sales talk that the best time to buy is now but everyone on the fence needs to consider the extreme reduction in guides. They're operating around 25% normal number of guides but will still face a normalish slam the week any deadline approaches. So a bunch of people will call next week and there will be fewer people to help. I wouldn't wait until next week. As others here have said, you can stall signing if wanting to see what else comes out in days/weeks after.

Just got OKWE direct 100 pts just for the blue card... Feb-Sept points available.

Yup they are pushing hard not to give out those 2019 points or possibly don't even have any left to give since they are doing the work around for members who had points expire during COVID and possibly needed to pull 2019 points to cover it.

Put on wait list? Also what UY? Were you trying to get 2019 points so possibly that is the issue?
Yeah, added to the waitlist. I only wanted 25 points and they estimated that it wouldn’t take long for such a small amount.
April UY so we were not expecting 2019 points.
