EXPIRED 12/10 -Another $10 GC w/$50 Purchase Coupon @Target!

Thanks, OP. I had some stuff to return from my visit yesterday, anyway, and wanted to pick up a couple games for DS's Nintendo for Christmas, so I guess I should definitely make a trip back sooner rather than later!

I just want to confirm that I was able to use this coupon when using for a Target GC purchase.
I didn't get $50 in Target GCs, I bought a 3DS game and 2 Lego Target GCs ($6 each) and the cashier scanned my coupon and gave me the $10 GC back. I did ask her if it would work with the Target GCs before I gave them to her, and she was more than willing to try.
I printed 2 coupons so I went up to the main register and used the other one and paid using the $10 one I got in electronics.

To the pp, you do not need a Target card, but if you have one or the Target debit you'll get an extra 5% off your purchase.

of course I was just their this morning and purchased $100 worth of stuff.

I did this too the day before the last one came out, (I spent 67) and I too the coupon and my receipt and they gave me the GC!!!!!!! (Of course I then spent another $100, so they still made on on the dea!)

Do these coupons expire? The closest target is 45 min away & we aren't planning on going til this weekend

just want to say that I was able to use it once today and failed the second time.
The cashier and mgr said no go on any gift card.

The coupon is good Dec. 7th - 10th. So the last day you can use it is Saturday.

This shows that some managers/cashiers are paying attention to the fine print on the coupon. However, we're all stocked up on toiletries and such so I'll be trying to use the coupon for gift card purchases. Let's see how sneaky I can be....:rolleyes1

For those who have done it: Does the cashier have to get management approval for gift card purchases? Or is it a matter of finding the cashier who seems aloof? Not trying to be mean, that's the only word I can think of....:rotfl2:

Last week and today I've done two separate transactions at the same register a total of three times. Two of those times I've bought Disney Gift cards. One of those times I had a stack of additional coupons plus a buy $80 get $8 off coupon. That time the cashier kinda glared at me (why do some take it so personal? lol) but other then that I've had no issues. The guy tonight was actually rooting me on and trying to figure out how I could score even more. (I was getting more $8 coupons with my transactions.) I have three Targets in a 12 mile radius of me and being in a big city several more, I never had anyone every blink at these kind of deals. Usually they say let's try it and if the machine spits it out that's all they care about. I've even had them override a coupon for a like coupon or give me a price on my word alone. All this a long winded way of saying try a different Target, you just got a tense cashier.:goodvibes

The cashier read the coupon and said it doesn't apply for giftcards. And then called one of the "managers" over and she said no go for giftcards.
I just shrugged and paid for the other items I was planning of getting anyways and left.
The first time around the cashier just scanned it and let it go.

Printed 4 coupons today went back to print more but say's I've printed my limit. Going to take DH's netbook and try with that shortly.

I was able to use it today to buy 2 $25 GC (Cracker Barrel & Darden) and nothing else as well as going back thru 2 more times first buying an Xploderz and then buying a video game and cookie sheets. I was also able to get them to apply the 4th coupon to my grocery purchase of yesterday.

I'm very excited I've decided that since I was going to buy these items anyway I'm going to start saving all my Target GC and next year at BF I'm buying myself an iPad. :dance3: (I asked they don't expire - ever.) Of course, it may be sooner given that I'm already at $70 in free gift cards (from last week's coupon and this week's) and may have another $90 tomorrow (I'm thinking about getting the youngest DS the 3DS that goes on sale tomorrow AM) and I have more GC to buy.

I was able to print 3. They all have the same number at the bottom. Did your coupons print that way or did they have different upc #'s? I'm concerned it will only work the first time.

Also, I'm not sure I am following the GC/management issues here.

1. They won't let you buy gift cards (of any kind) in your $50 purchase

or

2. You can't use the $10 free Target Gift Card to buy another kind of gift card

or

3. The manager won't let you purchase $50 worth of merchandise with a Target GC, and THEN get a free $10 Target GC

or

4. None of the above, if so, please spell it out to me like a kindergardener

I read the "fine print" as #3. Your purchase total has to be $50 before tax and you cannot use a gc, you have to use actual currency. Wrong?

Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks.

I used 3 coupons to day
1-$62 skyrim pc game for bro-in-law which I never see on sale
2-$50.10 baking supplies
3-$50.38 groceries
All separate transactions with different registers. Took the groceries to car and came back in.
I then took my collect of 3-$10 gift cards and $40 gift card from black Friday iPod purchase and got
2-$20 target gift cards for my sons teachers
1-$25 Lego target gift card for DS6 since older bro is getting a iTunes card w his iPod (bought at GameStop for $20, btw)
And still have $5 left. Essentially just traded for different denominations.
Took care of 3 gifts for free all while buying what I was going to buy anyways. Still have 1 coupon left...
If they carried a bookstore gift card then that would take care of another present, but all they was Disney, restaurant, theatres and iTunes. Don't need any of those.

I'm not very smart about all of this. I'm getting ready to make a $1200 pmt on my Disney pkg. Can I buy Disney GCs and use the Disney gift cards to make the pmt on my package??

I printed two and they both have the same upc number. Can anyone else tell me if theirs ends with the last 6 digits of 7134-48?
I'm scared to use them if they both have the same number.

Read the big thread about this on the disney cruise line board. Those people are using their target card to get 5% off a$50 gc then w/ this coupon it brings the cost of the card to 37.50. I wasn't clear on how many coupons you could print, but sounds like 4:confused3 I've yet to try it.

I was concerned about this too! But YES, my 3 coupons have the same number ending as yours. So it must be the coupon code, not an individual tracking code. Thanks!

yay!

You can get gift cards. Supposedly not Target GiftCards (that's their trademarked name for a gift card [with a capital G, capital C and no space]). But posters here have reported that it works on that too...
