Expiration date on Single day tickets

If we buy a single day ticket in advance do we have to say what date we want the ticket for. Is there an expiration date on the ticket?

We bought our tickets through AAA and printed them through the computer. We are only going in Feb. 2006 but we called and they said they were good for a year after they are printed. Hopes this helps.
