We are doing a jammed packed trip next week - pretty much a little of all of the Tampa/Orlando Parks in 6 days. We are VERY frequent WDW guests and have only been to Universal 2 times. Last year we went to Universal on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It actually didnt seem that bad. WE had purchased Express Passes ( which obviously helped ) , but I remember thinking that the regular lines were not very long at US. We had picked that Saturday because it had the longest opening hours, and we were trying to pack in as much at BOTH parks as possible.
SO.....this leads to my plea for guidance.....We have one day left on our Costco tix...we would like to again go park to park ( US & IOA ) and experience as much as possible. This will be more easily achieved by purchasing EXPRESS Passes and an EARLY arrival.
*Should I shell out BIG $$$$ for three people for Saturday Nov 26th ( Saturday after Thanksgiving) because the park is open from 9 am til 10 pm, therefore giving us a few more hours but POTENTIALLY HUGE crowds.
OR
*Should I purchase much cheaper Express Passes for Monday Nov 28th...counting on much lower crowds BUT three less hours of touring time?
Last year we saw everything except Potter on the first visit ( only because of a family meltdown - still had 2 hours left ).
For either day - what would be your strategy? and when would you work in Harry Potter? Late at night on Saturday?? Early Monday?
TIA for any suggestions!!!!!
