Experiences with park purchases sent to resort

We used this service on our trip last October and everything went great! It was like Christmas picking up the packages at our resort because sometimes we forgot what we had bought the day before!

We DID have an issue, though, with a rude cast member at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney when we went through the checkout. We were used to all the cashiers at the shops in the parks offering us if we wanted our items shipped back to our resort. This cast member didn't offer this to us, so I asked after she finished ringing everything in. She sighed heavily and rolled her eyes at me and told me I was supposed to let her know at the beginning of the transaction. I didn't realize that that would mess up her day so terribly, or I would have asked first. That encounter grinded my gears a bit, but maybe she was just having a bad day.

Several years ago they would deliver the packages right to your room. The bags would be laying on the bed when we returned the next night. I loved that! Now, you need to plan a bit. Think about the fact that you will need to pick it up from your resort gift shop after 3pm the next day. Make sure that is a do-able plan for you. If you are planning to stay at Magic Kingdom until midnight, then don't do it! Also, during some resort stays we rarely visit the gift shop so its more convenient to just carry our own package.

Hi. I know guests can have purchases made at Disney sent to their resort for free. I just had a couple of questions:
1. Does the merchandise arrive the same day or the following day?


2. What have been your experiences with this service? Did everything arrive to your resort as expected?

It depends most is after 1pm next day, on MNSHHP nights it ends at 4:30 and i was told it could take up to 2-3 days. Personalized stuff and Design a T take 2 to 3 days.
I have never had any issues with them and my stuff has never been broken.

1. I believe the posted answer to this is 'by 2PM the next day'
2. I've only done this a few times, and I've never had any probably. I do think that I had to show the receipt (and maybe my id?) when I picked the item up, so make sure you have the receipt when you go to get it.

One thing that hasn't been noted yet is that when you pick up your package(s) in the gift shop, you need to have a photo ID and the green (?) receipt that you were given when checking out.

No kidding. You will collect a lot of these things if you like to shop.
