I generally save my lo carb treats (Russell Stover Sugar Free/Lo Carb candy) for Sunday's after I weigh in. However, I bought some of the Atkins Endulge Ice Cream this week, and I really wanted some the other night. I didn't have it (I will wait till tomorrow) but I was wondering if you have had any stalls or gains while eating it (reasonable portions).
Any thoughts?

It has never bothered me except in the way of it is SOOOOOO good I then wanted it everyday!!!!

I don't remember it giving me any problems. I quit buying it because it's so darn expensive and my DD eats it all before I get any anyway.

OOOOOOh! I discovered those Russell Stover sugar free Pecan Delights last night!
I probably shouldn't have eaten one, since I'm on Induction still, but I figured it had to be better than going on a full out-all sugar binge, which is where I was headed fast!

What is your suggestion as far as things like that go? Once a week? Only for emergencies?

Brier Rose,
I find that the Sugar Free candy can make me stall if I eat more than one or two servings a week, so I usually only treat myself after my weigh in. I just found the Atkins Ice Cream and will probably only use that once a week or so. (of course, certain times of the month, I will have them if "needed"! Sometimes you just gotta have chocolate! :D )
If I want something sweet other days I will have a diet root beer with a tablespoon of cream in it, it tastes like a root beer float.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, that does help!:D

I've been having sugar free Jolly Rancher geletin (made with sucralose), topped with whipped cream, every now and then when I get a sweet tooth.
Sometimes though, like you said, ONLY CHOCOLATE will do!
I guess I'll save the Pecan Delights for SPECIAL treats.

The Atkins Essentials book actually has an "Induction aproved"
chocolate dessert that I haven't tried yet, sounds promising though.

Chocolate Mudslide
4 servings

1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup water
1/2 sugar free chocolate syrup
2 tbls. cocoa powder
2 tsp. chocolate extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In a medium saucepan, combine cream, water, syrup and cocoa.
Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate and vanilla extracts.

Pour mixture into an 8-inch square pan. Freeze until almost solid, about 3 hours. To serve, transfer mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until softened. Transfer to glasses.

Per Serving: Net Carbs: 2.5

I plan on skipping the freezer and drinking it warm like hot chocolate!

Wow, that sounds good, BR.

I am also a chocoholic and dread life without it! :p

Brier Rose That mudslide sounds yummy. Would you post it on our Eating Healthy Board?

BR, while copying and pasting that Chocolate mudslike recipe I noticed that the measurement was incomplete for the sugar free chocolate syrup.

Could you add that please?

You can see I want to try this!

Sorry about that!
It's 1/2 cup of Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup.
