Experience with Crowds-Jan 4-7???

Any advice or experience with crowds-Jan 4-7? We are looking to have get away Jan. 4-7, since flights and room rates are good, but multiple crowd calendars are putting the crowd levels at 8-10...

But with that being said we were there Jersey Week, Nov. 5-10, where the crowd levels were supposed to be moderate, 4-6 level and it was terrible so I am not sure how much stock I put in those!

Any advice?

We were there this week in Jan 2018. It was very cold but was also very busy! The evenings were better so we stayed out late and skipped early mornings.

It will be crowded as most kids may probably still be on Christmas vacation that week.

Agreed, my kids don't go back until the 8th, and parents (including myself) are more willing to keep kids out of a school a few days for a WDW trip. I wouldn't expect things to calm down until the week of the 13th.

Many children do not return to school until January 7th. You may see slightly lower crowds on the Sun and Mon but I would be prepared for higher crowds the entire time.

We will be there at the same time, expect very high crowds and try to get as many FPs as you can. Hopefully it will calm down by Sunday.

We are expecting heavy crowds. We are going Jan 1-12, mainly because my kids are out of school on winter break till Jan 14.

We are also out until the 8th in Texas and had considered those dates for a trip, but decided against it for that reason - chance of being too cold for us and very busy crowds.

It's true - it does drop below 120 degrees in Florida sometimes!

We’ve been that time frame three different years. Crazy busy every time. One trip had an especially cold snap and it was in the 30’s. Talk about cold at Disney - it was so cold all the water in the decorative fountains was frozen!

The one aspect we did enjoy during those trips was the Christmas decorations were still up. And the Christmas music was still playing. Made the Christmas season last a little longer
