Expedition Everest w/ Lights On

I did an EE tour yesterday! We walked through the entire ride and inside the mountain with the lights on.. it was sweet. My group was the first to ride for the day and we did it without any sounds- kinda weird! The guide explained the whole background story and talked about the yeti "B mode" issues.

I never knew they had such a tour. Very Very cool. What all did you find out about EE on this tour that the average Disney Fan might not know?

We were there about 2 weeks ago and I rode EE 3 times. I have NEVER....EVER been able to get a good look at the Yeti. Every time I have been on it, I only get the short "strobe effect" where you can barely see the beast at all. This really disturbs me because when the ride first opened, all the hype was about how this was one of the most impressive animatronic "characters" at any Disney park on the globe. Well if that is the case.....how about letting us see it? With the "strobe effect" version, the Yeti could be made of play-dough and no one would know any different because you can't see it.

It's my understanding that it's not always been this way. Is this the "B mode" that you are talking about?
