Just got back from Animal Kingdom a few minutes ago, it was our first time to ride Expedition Everest and I thought I'd give my 2 cents, as well as a timeline for those that are about to get here. We got to Animal Kingdom a few minutes after opening this morning and went right to EE. I was expecting a mad rush like we saw at EPCOT the morning before for Soarin'. Fortunately for us, it was a quick 5 minute wait for EE. We also got fast passes before we got on the first time, but the wait was so short that we rode it 3 times in a row with little to no wait.
As for the line, I was expecting a typical disney line that wraps in and out of small buildings, but this line actually is short, even when the whole line is full. It is a very efficient ride at moving large amounts of people.
As for the ride, we loved it. I'd rank it higher than Splash Mountain/Thunder Mountain/Space Mountain, but lower than RnR. Overall it is a great ride.
Like I said, we basically walked on 3 times in a row before we headed over for the Safari, the fastpasses were gone by 2:30 or so this afternoon, but peak wait time only got up to about 40 minutes and that wasn't until about 4:00pm.
Anyhow, we're headed over to downtown disney, if anyone has any specific questions, boardmail me and I'll try to get back to you.

The ride itself was cool, and if you don't have a weak stomach then do it. But if you're not sure, work yourself up to this one, or pass on it all together.
I was sick again.
I talked to Ralph on the Big Phone several times actually.
We went over to the Safari as I heard the animals were livelier in the morning & the lines weren't as long as later in the day. Luckily I had a plastic bag in my back pack as I needed it. (I did not want them to have to stop & clean out the ride while others waited in line to get on. I just tied my bag & tossed it in the trash). Anyway, probably way too many details for some of you. It was several hours before I was feeling 100% again.
