Expedition Everest question

Just wondering if this ride goes backwards or spins at all. I get motion sickness so spins and going backwards will not allow me to try this thrill ride! Besides the "snowy" mountain and abonable (sp?) snowman, what are similarities are there to Disneyland's Matterhorn?

It goes backwards, and spirals down backwards. If going backwards makes you hurl, don't ride. Sorry.
