Expedition Everest Hair Ties Question

The hair ties are becoming bigger since the internet has blown up with all things Disney. It is an "I was here" kind of thing. I don't get it and think it is stupid. Disney tries to clean it up as much as they can but even a few hours into an operating day the crest can be covered again. They could clear then everyday during the track walk and it would be a mess again by mid day.
They need to post a clear warning not to throw anything from the car, have good security cameras up there, and start ejecting people from the park when they come off the ride. That'll stop it.

Speaking of other weird things that you see, has anyone ever noticed the shoes that are in a tree between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. You can see all the shoes when taking the boat from one location to the other.

The hair ties are not specific just to EE. They have been a thing for years at Kings Island on the Beast. It is crazy by the end of the season.

The story is that the boat captains throw their shoes in the tree when they leave, such as going back to college for those doing the college program.

Because people are idiots and think it would be fun. They don't get the idea that someone has to clean them up and that it ruins the effect/look of the attraction. It's all about them and how cool and special they are.

I just noticed this for the first time back in September. I thought surely there was some explanation for them besides people just throwing them there... so weird. I'm guessing it's mostly teenagers doing this.

At our local ski hill there are a few trees to the side of one lift.

Lots of bras make there way into the branches each season. That would be an interesting addition to EE

At the Ohio Kalahari indoor waterpark people throw them on the steel beams that support the building when they are on the high water slide stairs. Also have seen them at Kings Island. When I was a kid people plasters gum all over stuff at Kings Island so I have to say hair ties are definitely better!

I have a ponytail so I use a hair tie. There is something about that ride that when you hit that spot your hair tie feels like it's coming off and you want to adjust it. I've lost a couple because either the ride moved before I was done and it shot off or it snapped and shot off.

That's your story, and you're sticking to it!
