Expedition Everest Challenge- did you do it???

My husband and I are considering participating in the Expedition Everest Challenge when we're there in Sept. '09. Has anyone participated? How difficult was the obstacle course and scavenger hunt??? I'm a little anxious about the obstacle course.

DH and I did it last year and had a blast! The timing is bad this year or I would totally do it again!

I think unless you're uber competitive and really worried about actually winning something, the obstacles are more fun than hard. There were a couple sawhorse type things you had to go over - they were 4 or 5 feet high maybe? Then a pretty easy rope climb - it's a rope net that went not quite vertically up to a crossbar, maybe 7 or 8 feet high?, then back down the other side, then a balance beam about two feet off the ground, then a low-crawl under some netting.

You can easily go around all the obstacles if you want to. In fact, we were in a crush of people so the race people were telling us we could go around. I'm not sure if we were contenders they'd do that, be we were waaaaaaaay towards the end of the pack.

The scavenger hunt was pretty easy if you paid attention to the clues and realized that there were several different sets of clues. Just because the person next to you says "its over here!" does NOT mean it's your clue they're looking at!

I say go! Have a good time! and enjoy the cold weather up in the Himalayas!
