I am a bit of a chicken with a slight motion sickness problem and a slight phobia of heights, although I rarely get sick from rides.

Is is possible for someone to provide me with a walkthrough of these 2 attractions, the more detailed the better. I have ridden space and splash mountain before if you want to base your description from them. I also rode tower of terror, which wasnt too bad on the first drop but the multiple drops did make me a little queezy.

Thanks in advance.

No detailed explanation needed I think.

I would not suggest you go on these rides if you have motion suckness and a fear of heights.

Okay I have not ridden EE yet but I can imagine from what I have heard that you may have problems with it. I have ridden Splash, Space and Thunder and I can tell you none of them come close to RnR.

It is too fast a ride to get an acurate walk through and you are in complete darkness. It starts like a catapult and shoots you very fast right into turns and hills throwing you back into the seat. It is quite awesome really one of the best beginnings to a roller coaster I have ever experienced. There are several spots where I felt like my stomach was left behind me and had to catch up with me. I love that feeling by the way!!! It also is the only coaster at Disney to go upside down and it does this several times. I wish the mouse would put in a few more like it.

I was a little dissapointed to learn that EE does not go upside down at all. I hear it goes backwards though and I love that so I will see what I think of it in a few weeks.

Any amount of motion sickness at all would be reason to stay clear of RnR and would keep me safe from someone throwing up on me while riding!! I have to ride as a single rider as my Dh gets motion sick so I always worry the person next to me is going to be someone who should have not ridden. I worry about the strangest things.

I will first say that I absolutely love roller coasters, but something about that backwards motion in the dark on EE made my head hurt a little. The first time, it just felt a little strange. Then I rode it two more times immediately, and after the third time, I was pretty disoriented. I don't think it's an actual loop, but I'm not certain, as it is pitch black during that time. Something got to me, though!

TJ22, I do not ride many rides at Disney due to my fears. I do however enjoy Goofy's Barnstormer...lol! Since you seem to share many of my fears, how does Big Thunder Moutain Railroad and Space Moutain compare? I rode TOT before it went to multiple drops I survived, but would not ride again. I would like to try Space Mtn. but am a bit shakey at the thought!

I avoid Space Mountain only because it is a rough ride. I think it is the roughest.
It is not scary, but it is rough. Partly from age I suspect. But I doubt it was ever smooth.
When on rollercoasters and you like a smooth ride -- the nearer you are seated to the front, the smoother.

I would equate the 'roughness' portion of EE close to big thunder mountain.. the toughest portions are the high speed curves.. but what it does over BTM is

- more drops
- backwards section
- more dark areas

I would consider it a moderate coaster. Its no where near like the pure coasters, but close then a BTM is. You can watch a whole ride of EE if you want at RCpro

If you can handle space mountain.. you'll have no problem with EE. Rockin I understand is tougher tho

I am not a roller coaster type of person at all. I don't do all the big coasters at other parks, such as, the Hulk. But, I absolutely love RnR. It is my favorite ride at WDW. It is much smoother than Space Mtn and maybe because it is in the dark, I don't know what's coming up. For me that is the scariest part. I would probably not go on it if it were outside. It's fast, it's smooth and I love the music! Can't wait to go on it again later this month! :Pinkbounc

I haven't been on EE yet but if you have any motion sickness problems I would avoid R n' R. I love it, but that takeoff is a doozy!

If you survived TofT then you will most definitely survive RnR. I too have a fear of heights and get motion sick on everything from long drives (when I am not driving) to carousels much less TofT. I decided a few years ago to take motion sickness pills so that I might enjoy the rides with my family. You will not experience a fear of heights once RnR begins because everything happens so fast and is in the dark that there is no fear, rather an exhiliration afterwards of doing a real coaster!

I avoid most roller coasters in general, but big thunder mountain is not scary at all, and neither is space mountain at least not me. I am not a fan of the stomach drop feeling and you get that on splash mountain but it is just the last hill and it is pretty quick.

I can handle that feeling in short spurts but I am not a fan of TofT because it is a much longer ride.

Yeah I thought about taking motion sickness pills , dramamine, but those are like sleeping pills to me. They work great but make me extremely weak.

Thanks, That is a great site.

Ok so I watched the video and It looks a little high in some spots but does not, at least it the lighted areas, seem to drop to far. I guess the height should not be a problem and I saw nothing in the lighted areas to be a problem, but how about in the dark areas how much stomache sensation do you get in comparsion to say splash mountains last hill?

For example you could say there are 2 spots where it drops as much as splash mountain or 1 spot where it is a little more...etc.

Thanks.

EE you start out at the station then go up a big hill where you can look down it was very high so if you are afraid of heights you might want to re think it. you hit the top where it stops then you go backwards and it feels like you go upside down. you twist and turn to the yuti. thats all i remember i was screaming and had my eyes shout i only remember what i felt and what little i saw. i get motion sickness but was ok on the ride. we did it at night so i could not see where we where going. sm on the other hand makes me sick its bumpy you go up and down leaving your stomach behind i come out with white knockles from holding on to tight

like most of disney's coasters.. its about dips and high speed banks more then drops.

Heights shouldn't be an issue.
