Expecting 50 people for a party today....and there's a winter storm warning!!

6-10 inches for tonight!!! DD's birthday party is today! We ordered a 6 foot sub, 100 pieces of chicken, I made 3 lbs macaroni salad and 4 lbs of coleslaw!! (and we have a 1/2 barrel of beer!!)

I sure hope people show. Right now it is just sleeting. I wished for snow when all you eastern people got it....but not just for today

Plus, we always order cakes from this bakery but decided to try Sams Club to cut costs....and DH calls from Sams and says they were only 1/4 sheets...not 1/2. We ordered 2-1/2 sheets. He decided to buy one more....I went and looked and they are definitely 1/2 sheets....now we have 3-1/2 sheet cakes!!!!


Oh well......we'll have to wait and see when 4pm rolls around!!...

I can somewhat relate. DD was suppose to go to a Birthday party tonight for one of her classmates and we had a major snowstorm today (school has all ready been canceled for tomorrow). The party is or was 25 miles out in the country and the roads are drifted shut.

Actually, it was a pretty good turnout......only about 4 people out of 50 didn't show. The snow held off really, until later at night. All of the 6 ft sub went. There are about 15 pieces of the 100 piece chicken and the macaroni and coleslaw salad are pretty much gone.

There is a little of the cake and keg of beer left too.....The keg was still good the afternoon

We got a good 8 inches as of this morning....with drifts up to a foot.
