Hi all-
My girlfriend and I are going to be taking our first vacation together the 15th of March through the 22nd. I have read that is a peak attendance time, but my question is, will it be incredibly long waits for all the major rides all the time? We plan on using Fastpass but I have read that fastpasses can be gone as early as noon time at some parks. We plan to go to a park in the morning from 7 - 12pm and a park at night from about 5 - close. Are those good hours for avoiding the masses of people? Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated! :thumbsup2

Hi,

You can indeed plan on very large crowds and very long wait times that week, especially toward the end of the week.

Arriving at the parks when they open will usually help you avoid the worst of the crowds. Take advantage of morning EMH if you are staying on site. By 10 or 11 AM he parks will be very crowded and will stay that way most likely for the rest of the day.

ugh, now i am worried that we won't have a lot of fun. The only time we could go was this week and I knew going in would be bad, but now I am thinking the crowds might be unbearable :(

It is going to be a rough week...you knew the crowds would be bad so why are you now upset? Just put on the Disney happy face and have fun! You are not traveling with kiddies and you and your girlfriend will be able to stay in the parks late and enjoy the rides..make sure you take advantage of the extra hours...don't stress over it..the crowd levels will be bad from now through the 1st week of May because every week starting next week is spring break for someone....Have a great trip! ;)

yea, good point, i think its sorta hitting me now that the trip is 11 days away and i guess i am just getting nervous. I am sure I will have fun anyways due to the night clubs and golf :) thanks for putting things into perspective:)

Move over.......We'll be there from the 16th to the 24th. ;)
Robo got your tools ready. Any tips or tricks to dish out???????????(a big softball for ya, it's a slow day):thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Don't worry :) Yes, it'll be crazy busy, but it's also fun and the parks are open extra late! We'll be there too during that time!

Your plan of being there in the morning and then evening, and skipping the afternoon is good. We'll be doing the same. I think as long as you go in with a plan, know which rides you want to do the most etc, you'll be fine!

Oh and if you're still feeling a bit down... I think the week after Easter is looking to be EVEN busier according to crowd calendars), so there you go - the super busiest time will be the week after, not even when you're there.

We will be there with you! We get there the 14th so we are going to see everything that evening before it gets crowded!!! We were there about the same time last year and it was not that bad. You have the right idea, start early as you can and get the major attractions done early. Use the fast passes to ride your favorites a second time. Use the rest of the day to do the smaller attractions. I will warn you that your first stop at Epcot in the morning should be Soarin. That and Test Track were the longest standby lines of the week 120 min. Fast passes were gone by 10:30 every morning! I will say this, we had one of the best trips we ever had last year and it was one of the busiest times for us. I think there is a lot of excitement when you get that many people in one place. Remember we are all there to have a great time. I met people from all over the world! The best part was the weather! I think you will have a wonderful time!! You'll be at WDW!!!!!!!!!

We'll be there too - but we're not pushy if that helps.

I'll be putting on a brand spankin new pair of mickey ears and some sparkles and enjoying it!! I don't care how crowded it is! :tink:

My vote is to definitely do the VERY LATE EMH's on at least a couple of nights.. LOTS of fun to be had after 1am when the parks start to clear out but are STILL open till 3am!!
