The New York Times (of all sources?) has apparently been reporting that Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will become the new sponsor of the Great Movie Ride in 2015 and will be helping Disney with some changes to the attraction, including an updated opening, perhaps a new or updated ride scene, and an updated finale.
Disney and TCM are expected to make an announcement tomorrow.
Perhaps something else (even more significant) to draw from this is that, despite some rumors, GMR doesn't appear to be going anywhere. Some are speculating that this might actually have something to do with next year's Sorcerer's Hat removal. Again, no official word on any of this from Disney or TCM but it appears pretty widely accepted.
Thoughts? What would you want to see in an updated GMR?
