I selected my Dh and I as well. Honestly it is not something that would be done as a single. At least I can't see how that would really work out. I guess you could if you really wanted to but anyways they knew it was both of us but just one charge.

Thanks again. I had always thought it was a single charge but it threw me off when it showed $89 per adult.

It threw me off too and I was prepared to pay 89.00 each even though I has read here that it was per couple but lo and behold it was the 89.00 for both of us

Just booked this treatment for hubby and I for our cruise next weekend. this is our 2nd cruise and we haven't done a spa treatment before, but hubby was interested in this one.
I selected both of us for the treatment, but, from what I have been reading, it appears that the price is per couple and not per person.

So from what I am reading it is 89 a couple. I just booked this for the Magic for me and hubby. Is it 89 per couple? Also I booked both me and hubby for same time slot as it let me select both. But still will be 89 for both, do not think I would want to pay 89 a person for this treatment.

We've done it twice. It is definitely a per couple charge.

Ok, this sounds very interesting. I'm going to need more details than just "spa treatment" lol... What is actually entailed with it? Or does someone have a link so I can read up on it?

Ok, sorry. Nevermind my previous post I just hasn't read into the thread very far. my only question is do you and your SO just get turned lose in this room. So no one actually comes in to give you a massage? You have to do it yourself? My only thinking is if I spend $89/PP I'd want them to give me a professional massage with it.

No professional massage just you and your SO rubbing mud on each other.
You lock the door after the spa attendant leaves. My DH did not like how hot and humid it got in the room and he did not enjoy it at all. The original OP said something along the lines if you like or love your SO, well I do love my DH and our "alone" time very much but I did not feel this was worth it. I, personally, wouldn't even go if it was offered at no charge.
DH and I were talking about this treatment just the other day and he said "that was awful, I don't know why anyone would do it." Well we did it because of all the positive reviews and posts about it and thought it was going to be great but unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations.

I think your enjoyment of the rasul is completely what you put into it. If you like a private tiled room where you aren't disturbed and encouraged (by way of the salts etc) to touch your partner, then you might like it. The floor and the bench are very hard though!

Over the years (almost 12 here on the DIS) I've always gotten a good chuckle out of people trying to explain just exactly (in a family-friendly way) HOW to go about having a good time in the Rasul.

There's a DISNEY word for it.......***IMAGINATION***

Or....sometimes you have to be quick and think on your feet.

Any recent Rasul reports? Is it still $89 per couple? Is it too hot as other posters have reported or did you find it comfortable? Just trying to figure everything out before our upcoming cruise. Is water or anything offered?

I went in 2011 on my honeymoon, was $89 then. My wife and I were sad that they only have this on the Magic. There's something to be said for flinging mud at your DW to begin a marriage... lol

AFAIK, it's available on the Wonder, isn't it?

But yeah, $89 for the privilege of throwing mud at each other. Any other massage can be given at the stateroom...

We do a rasual on every cruise, it's great fun! You get water and a glass of bubbly to start with. DCL website says $89 per person, but I'm sure that's not right. I'll check when I get onboard and, if it's gone up by double, I'll cancel. A laugh for $89, but not $178 !! Lol

That's what I'm thinking. I'm ok with $89 but not $178.

we have done it on every Magic cruise we've taken and it's great fun as long as you use your imagination.

We did the Rasul on our Alaskan cruise. We enjoyed it a lot! The shower was a bit frustrating as it is timed, so you had to keep pushing the button and the temp could be difficult to control due to that. The steam room was pleasant but definitely a steam room. Don't stand too close to the center sinks when the steam comes pouring out! The showers in the steam room were ice cold the first time we turned them on and steaming hot the second time, so we didn't really use those. DH and I liked the mud and the products. It was very relaxing and fun and we would do it again!
