Exotic Rasul: expensive conjugal visit?

I've read several reviews of the Exotic Rasul and after all the info I have, one thing comes to my mind to describe it: conjugal visit! Aren't you just in a public shower with your spouse and a few lotions and an hour to spend, and it's obvious what you are going to do? Sure everyone acts like it's a big secret and no one knows what you are doing in there but it seems pretty obvious. Is it even comfortable in there? Are the lights bright? Wouldn't we be better off doing the same thing in our stateroom while our kids are in the clubs??

Sorry to border on PG-13 here on the DisBoards but hopefully someone could clear this up for me and tell me if it's worth the $90!

I've never done it but I plan on booking it! Sure you know what happens in there, but the point for us is to bring something diff to the table and some excitement!

I hope DCL CMs clean off the floors and showers between appointments.

On the Magic and Wonder, there's a large sauna to sit in for a while, and in the shower room there are different bowls of mud that you can put on eachother, sit in the sauna, and then shower off. It's a fairly large space, not huge, but not just a dinky closet-size either.
It can be a nice relaxing time.
Yes, you could almost do the same things in your room....if you had the mud, the sauna and the lotions.
Some people probably do use the area for extra-curricular activities, but not everyone.

We didn't. We thought about it, but we were worried about time and really, it just wasn't comfortable in there for that.

Let's just put it this way, my husband is ticked that that is not offered on the Dream! It was AWESOME! To each their own. Hot steamy, muddy, salty time alone without adult supervision or kids..... well, my mind works in different ways than yours apparently.

I wonder why this is not offered or built into the new Dream. I always felt that it was pretty popular as it was hard to get a reservation. Maybe they will reconsider for the Fantasy.

THe mud and the salt are so awesome! Really great products...as well as facial masks, cleansers, and lotions. The space was very large and the time goes by fast. The sauna room does get hot, and they have showers in both areas. It was really nice. (the logistics of it weren't condusive for us, I guess I go for softer surfaces) so just a great spa treatment is all it has to be if thats what you want! And yes the clean the room very good between each couple. While waiting for our appointment they had to dry the room a second time because the showers came on inbetween appt's and when you leave it is a wet mess!

I would consider this more of an intimate experience, depending on who you are you can add the sexual part

I think it was worth the money, and my skin did feel really great, loved the mud they use....too bad it isn't on the dream much cheaper couples experience than the massages

My husband and I enjoyed this on our last cruise (If you know what I mean )! However, I must say, it was very uncomfortable. First, it was really hot in there. We got very overheated and dehydrated. Second, we had a hard time finding a comfortable spot to "play" around in. The room is completely covered in tile.

That being said, I am glad we tried it once. However, I don't think I would do it again. Like the OP said, we would be better off doing the same thing in our stateroom while our kids are in the clubs. And , it would be a lot cheaper!

Right there with you....we really enjoyed it too... DH wanted to book in again on the Dream. I told him that they didn't have it, and he was not thrilled with that answer!!!

I agree OP! I guess I'm more into comfortable settings for those times with the hubs anyway but, even if I was interested in a hard, tiled, uncomfortable setting, the more posts I read about this treatment, the more grossed out I get. I think I'd feel like I was in a room at a porn theater if I went into one of these treatment areas. Ick.
