I have a DD that loves birds. Where is the best place in Orlando to indulge her bird brain?

Discovery Cove has an aviary .. but it isn't huge

not 'Orlando' but:

'most birds' would probably be Busch Gardens Tampa

Brevard Zoo also has a decent sized aviary

(you will probably get a flood of replies now .... saying how I'm wrong!)

Discovery Cove's aviary is awesome. Especially first thing when they open, since the birds are enthusiastic to sit right on you for treats.

However if your DD is not from FL and is like my friend, the ever-present pesky FL ibises will be a hit for free pretty much everywhere. My friend also enjoyed watching the ducks at Universal. Normal, everyday ducks.

Consider visiting a state park to enjoy the native birds. Blue Springs is close. We did a kayak tour there and saw lots of species, with the guide giving lots of neat info about the birds and other wildlife. It was a nice, different way to spend half a day.
