This morning I ran for 50 minutes.

Who's next ?????????????????????
 
Running for me this morning, 4.25 miles in 34:33 - another personal best! :goodvibes
 
I took 3 hours vacation time today and did a long run: 16 miles. It was very sloooooow though, 167 minutes to complete.
 

WOW April I just saw your weight loss banner. You are amazing. I bet you are so proud of yourself. I gotta ask. How did you do it? I need to lose 70 lbs and I don't know I'm going to stay motivated.

Here's what I did today

3.1 mile walk in 50 minutes. :cool1:

25 minutes of exercise: :earsgirl: 10 minutes of exercise ball, 10 minutes of WATP moves (on my own while watching tv), 5 minutes of cardioglider
 
I did 40 minutes on the elliptical (Level 4).

Thanks! I haven't followed any specific plan - I sometimes call my approach "Live like a healthy person". :) When I started, I tried to make choices every day that I imagined a healthy, normal-weight person would make, with the idea that I would eventually become that person. And while I'm still slowly heading towards goal (and honestly still deciding what "goal" will be for me) I think it has actually worked! I guess you could say I changed my head, and my body followed. :p

Some of the ingredients that I believe are key to my success include exercising every day, with a combo of cardio (walking/jogging) and resistance (Curves), getting most of my carbs from whole grains, fruit, and LOTS of veggies, plenty of water, keeping an eye on portion control, and listening to my stomach to make sure I stop eating when I'm satisfied. I really had to work hard to overcome my emotional (over)eating patterns, and I still struggle sometimes, but it has become easier.
