Tracy,
Thanks! I haven't followed any specific plan - I sometimes call my approach "Live like a healthy person".

When I started, I tried to make choices every day that I imagined a healthy, normal-weight person would make, with the idea that I would eventually become that person. And while I'm still slowly heading towards goal (and honestly still deciding what "goal" will be for me) I think it has actually worked! I guess you could say I changed my head, and my body followed.
Some of the ingredients that I believe are key to my success include exercising every day, with a combo of cardio (walking/jogging) and resistance (Curves), getting most of my carbs from whole grains, fruit, and LOTS of veggies, plenty of water, keeping an eye on portion control, and listening to my stomach to make sure I stop eating when I'm satisfied. I really had to work hard to overcome my emotional (over)eating patterns, and I still struggle sometimes, but it has become easier.
You can do it! Good luck!
