I don't know that Zebra domes are all that. You can find a recipe online, I think. They are rather complicated to make though.
They are ratehr like chocolate mousse on top of a cookie crumb crust. I think the crust is chocoalte wafers.
They are sort of Boma's signature dessert, and they are made inhouse...but if you are going to Boma just to have them you will be woefully disappointed.
Go to Boma for the whole buffet. I do like Boma, but LOTS of folks have been diappointed by it. I don't find the menu all that exotic to be certain, but you have to be willing to try some slightly 'different' things to enjoy Boma. If you hate veggies or are a hardcore eater of classic American food you won't enjoy it.
The menu alternates but some regulars include: fresh fruit, various salads, various soups (Mulagatawny, butternut squash soup to name a few), hummous, fufu - which is mashed potato and mashed sweetpotato mixed togther, a dish made from cormeal mush, plain ziti, salmon covered with a nut topping, cookies, and more.
I think the main reason people rant is because they are slightly unique to Boma- but really they aren't very exotic, IMO. They may have Kahlua in them, but if so they don't have a strong alcohol taste at all.
