Hi all, hope you are all well. MY family and i are staying in The Santa Fe from the 6th - 10th Feb, i was wondering if anyone knows of any excursions into Paris, i've looked in the brochure at pre bookable ones and they are quite expensive,(65 quid each adult) is it cheaper to get one when we are there? there would be 3 adults, one 12 year old and 3 under 12's. we thought about public transport etc doing our own thing, but given the size and age of our party, and the weather (ccccold!!) it would be more practical to get a guided tour. many thanks.

We went into Paris on our trip last month. We called into the tourist information centre beside the train station at DLP and paid in advance for our bus tour with les cars rouges. It cost us 24 euros per adult and 12 euros per child - that was for a 2 day pass and you could hop on and hop off at 9 of the main tourist attractions. We got the RER into Paris and it cost us about 32 euros for 2 adults and 1 child - DS (2) went free. It was great going around on the open top bus and the audio commentary via headphones was very well done.

I have done an open top bus ride in a February and it was freezing. Also, it's worth staying on the bus and doing a complete tour before hopping on and off as the busses weren't running very frequently off season. (Every 30 minutes from what I remember.)
