We're going on the Magic - Eastern Cruise On May 1st. Yeah!!!!
Does anyone have recommendations for excurisions? We're interested in a really good snorkeling adventure? My kids are also interested in the parasailing on Castaway Cay. Just wondered what anyone had to say?::MickeyMo

I highly recommend the Buck Island Sail and Snorkel!

It is an excursion with just six people (plus captain and sidekick) on a yacht. They take you over to Buck Island and they take you on a tour of the reefs. It was excellent! My opinion though. Would not hesitate to do it again in St. Thomas! DD12 really enjoyed it!

They provide all equipment and a snack and drinks.

We're doing the Doubloon snorkle. Our DDs and friends DDs love Pirates of the Caribbean. We're also planning on doing the parasailing on Castaway Cay and I'm afraid of heights, lol!!!

We didn't book our excursions ahead of time and the sailing ones were booked. So we went with the “Wild Thing”. The boat was a US military prototype for high speed troop transport. It really only goes about 40 mph, but was fun. Good snorkeling and great beach afterward for swimming, and you could place an order for pizza with the crew that they radioed in and was delivered to the swim beach via the “Pizza Boat”.

We hope to do one of the sailing excursions next time, but “Wild Thing” was a good substitute.

We did Captain Nauticas St John snorkling excursion while we were in St Thomas. I couldn't recommend it enough! We had a fabulous time. The boat was fast so we had enough time to snorkle at two places (Christmas Cove and Honeymoon Beach) for a little over an hour each. I believe most other excursions only go to one place. Christmas cove had the most beautiful variety of fish along a huge reef. Honeymoon beach had equally beautiful fish on the most breath taking beach ever. The whitest sand and clearist water. It was either voted top 10 most beautiful beach in the US or the world, not sure (I know there is a big difference there) But it was absolutly Gorgeous. The crew was also very friendly and helpful. We also did the Orient Bay beach excursion, this was a beautiful beach and I would go again except Id recommend taking a taxi and doing it yourself. I have heard it is very simple and MUCH cheaper than the DCL excursion. What ever you choose to do you'll have a MAGICal time! :sunny:
