excursion question

Has anyone ever booked an exc. through dcl only to learn after the fact that they could have gotten it cheaper if they booked it direcley on the islands. If so which ones and which islands

I know that looking at the excursions for Cozumel that DCL is way over priced. I have booked my excursion outside of DCL. I had planned on going to Chank. Park on my own because it was cheaper to do it on my own.

Pretty much all of the excursions can be done cheaper on your own, if you want to make your own plans.
