We are booked on a 4 night Wonder cruise. My family has chosen 2 excursions that they really would like to do. Unfortunately, they are both on Castaway Cay. Is it possible to do both - The Stingray excursion and Parasailing and still have time to enjoy the island? Could you recommend what times I should book the excursions in order to do both? Thank you!

The stringray excursion is about an hour long or so. It is at the far end of the family beach so you still get to enjoy CC while doing that.

We did scheduled the last time slot of the day for the stingray adventure. Once it was done, we headed back to the ship :sad1:

thank you! Anyone else try and do two excursions in one day?

Yup! We did the parasailing at 10am, which gave us time to take the tram out to the adults only beach (Serenity Bay) and look around a little before heading back to the boat dock for parasailing. We had a pretty full boat (8 people) and some of them were tandem parasailers. It was one of the most awesome things I've ever done.

Afterwards we had plenty of time for buffet lunch at Cookies BBQ, then we wandered around a little and headed for the stingray encounter scheduled for 2pm. That was also very interesting and a lot of fun. We snorkeled around for quite awhile until I got a little chilly (it was mid-January). We still had time to change clothes in the restroom and hit the shops for some t-shirts and take pictures of the lush landscaping. At 4pm we headed back to the Wonder for reboarding. It was so sad to leave that beautiful island.

Our schedule worked out well; we had plenty of time to get around without rushing. It would have been nice to spend a little more time relaxing at Serenity Bay, which we will try to do next time.

The one piece of advice I'd give is make sure you plan a good amount of free time after the parasailing - they can run long. My wife took the afternoon one and were among the last back onboard the ship as they went way out far and it took them a long time and a rough ride to get back, since they were in a hurry. I'd suggest what the others have said above, make the parasail early and do the stingrays later in the day.

From what I've been reading lately, the parasailing is canceled for the foreseeable future. Not sure why, but several DISers have reported this in other threads.

I read that too. Don't know what your Nassau plans are but don't they have both excursions there as well?

On our last cruise- on CC we did the stingray excursion, rode the bike trail all over the island, snorkled over by the family beach, and got the tubes/floats and swam and the family beach.

I like the very first stingray excursion of the day- ours only had 6 people total.
