Exchanging WDW Vouchers

Hi all, me again, with another panic on my hands!

As some of you know, I was caught out with Theme Park Land going bust (and I still havent got my money back - but thats another story!!).

Anyway, I ordered WDW 5 Day Hoppers from First For Attractions as they are offering the free Pirates Dinner Shop with them.

I ordered the tickets 2 weeks ago, and confirmed with the girl that I would receive the actual tickets within 7 days. She said definitely so I went ahead and booked them.

After 7 days and not receiving my tickets I called them, to be told they are awaiting a delivery from the US, but guaranteed I would have them by Monday.

Yesterday I received vouchers for them. Not the actual tickets, and it says I have to exchange them for the tickets at a WDW ticket booth.

But my problem is the first day at WDW is at MK where we have a PS for CRT at 8.05am. Will there be a ticket booth open at this time to exchange them? I DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON THE BREAKFAST!!

I did phone First For Attractions today to complain and said that if I didnt receive the actual tickets I wanted my money back.

They gave me a long story about ordering $250,000 worth of WDW tickets from the US, but FedEx have lost the package in the UK and they are trying to sort it out.

They could well be telling the truth, but once bitten, twice shy and I just want to know that everything will be ok with these vouchers.

Any thoughts guys??

I know how you feel, why these companys have to deal in vouchers I dont know. We recieved ours last December and although they are fine it is a nusience when you have to queue up and exchange them for actual tickets. Dont forget you will also have to take some form of ID with you as well before they exchange them. I am sure if you check with the park before you go they can confirm to you wiether or not the ticket booth will be open that early. If it is early entry to the park on that day I am sure they will be open but not to sure if it is a normal opening hours day.

Hope you get this resolved.

Have a great holiday

Thanks Florida Sun.

Our day planned at MK is not an EE day. So I presume the ticket booths will not be open.

If we cant exchange the vouchers, we cant get in for CRT.

So I'm going to have to contact the company again and send these vouchers back.

Will they even take them back????

I am not sure if they will take them back. Are you staying on site if so maybe guest services may be able to arrange something for you. What time do you arrive on your arrival day, is it possible to nip to one of the parks and do it then, I think some of the parks are open until quite late. Apart from that I would get back in touch with the company you bought them from and see if they will give you your money back or send you actual tickets. I ordered mine this year from Seligo on the net and they came yesterday and thank goodness they are the actual tickets. They also offer some good offers but not sure about a free meal.

Let me know.Good Luck

We cant really nip to WDW to exchange the vouchers before our first day there.

We are staying offsite on I-Drive, and are non-drivers. We arrive on a Sunday afternoon.

We are getting married in Orlando and the first 2/3 days are taken up with sorting this out, eg meeting the Virgin wedding co-ordinators, going to the courthouse to get married, then of course our actual wedding day - we wont have time to nip off to exchange vouchers then.

So our first free day is this one where we have booked CRT!!

And I tried so hard to get it, I dont want to lose it!!

I will contact again and see what they say!

Wish me luck!

I see what you mean.

Congratulations on your wedding by the way.
I would definatley not cancel your CRT you probably wont get another one that suits you, there must be a way around this.

This is what I would do if I was you. First I would contact the company you bought the tickets from and see if they can exchange them for actual tickets, I am sure there is more than enough time for this. After this just incase they are not able to change them, phone Disney Guest services and explain to them the situation, they are very helpful and I am sure if you explain that you have an early reservation but only have vouchers that need changing into actual tickets, they can help. There must be some sort of guest services desk inside that would be open to help you out.
After all, if you are in the park that early there must be someone there to help out with any problems they may encounter with guests who have early reservations.
I am sure guest services at the park can change these vouchers into tickets for you.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Hi Lorraine,

I really would not worry. You could give Disney a ring to double check but I'm sure the Guest Services bit where you exchange vouchers for tickets will be open. Alternatively go to the WDW website and email them from there and ask them to confirm what time the booths open. At least then you will know for sure one way or another!

This must happen all the time Lorraine, please don't worry!

Cheers
