Wasn't quite sure if anyone would know this, but:

When a RCI week is exchanged for a DVC week, can a person also add on the DDP to the reservation? Or is that not possible?

Yes, you may -- but it is fee-based (not free). Be sure to ask about it when you phone Member Services. You'll find their phone number in the "To help you further" section of your RCI Confirmation.

Thank you for the information. :thumbsup2

I knew it wouldn't be free....that if we could add on the DDP to an exchange reservation, we would need to pay the standard prices for it. I just wanted to make sure that it was possible so I wouldn't have to do a bunch of cooking and kitchen clean up duty for everyone while on vacation. As a mom who does all the cooking and kitchen duties, I have to think of these things. ;) :rotfl:

As noted, yes you can, but for only all 7 nights for all parties during the week no matter how many nights any or all of them actually stay.

Thanks Dean. I assumed the normal rules would apply. I just wanted to confirm that purchasing the DDP for our stay would be possible. :thumbsup2

Thank goodness it is! :goodvibes

The only variation on the normal rules is you have to pay for all 7 nights even if you only stayed for less.

If we don't want the Dining Plan do we still have to pay the $95.00 fee?

The fee is essentially to run the exchange program. It provides nothing not already available to the member who exchanged out. There is no way around it that I am aware and is even charged to members who trade in by other means.

Thanks, we use our first exchange in 3 wks.
