If you could plant any type of fruit tree in your yard, what would it be?

I love oranges, so I'd love to have an orange tree. But since I live in NY, I doubt it would live. Plus I don't have a green thumb at all! :rotfl:

train station is 1/2 hour ....one north, one south.,.....but west coast people LOVE our cars!!

We just planted a lemon, a lime and a pomegrante tree at the new house.
When they grow enough to produce, I will have to figure out what to do with them.

Thanks! :goodvibes I lived in Brighton and worked at the Dana Farber many many years ago. It was such a fun town. The only thing that makes me cringe is the winters and snow! I remember having to dig through just to find out if it was really my car! I am originally from PA..but Pittsburgh. The job would actually be in the Worcester area. After talking with them today, not sure it's something he's 100% interested in. We'll see!

I totally understand about the winters!!! :scared1::laughing: Being born and raised here I've been dealing with snow all my life!! There are some days during the seem less endless winters I wish I was on a tropical island or anywhere with palm trees, but here!! ;):sad2::rotfl: But I guess coming from Pittsburgh you know snow!! Have you always lived in PA?
Worcester is in the western part of the state and THEY KNOW SNOW! :thumbsup2;)Whatever your husband decides I wish him luck (oh yes and YOU TO!!!)! :thumbsup2

My sister went to law school in Boston (BC) so I've experienced some of that traffic! We almost never drive into NYC anymore, even when Dad & I went to the Mets game last week, we took the train. I already had a monthly ticket, so we only had to pay for his--which was probably the same as the parking fee!

BC is a great school!! :thumbsup2 The campus is so beautiful!!! They are one of my DHs clients and he spends a lot of time there!
We were in NYC last year and even coming from Boston with our nightmare :scared1:traffic,the traffic in Manhattan amazed and frightened me!!:rotfl: I can see why you would want to take the T in and out of town!! Can't remember what we spent to park in NYC but I can remember my eyes bugging out of my head!!:laughing:I think you are right in taking the train the cost may have been the same or even may have been cheaper than driving and then having to park your car!! It's that way when going to any sporting event here! The parking lots and garages are out outrageous!!:sad2: But they know people will pay it!!:confused3;)

Well first I would have to move from the frozen:cold: tundra called Massachusetts to where the palm trees :sunny:sway!! Then I could plant my fave fruit trees orange, grape fruit and tangerines! ;)
Nothing like fresh citrus for breakfast,in recipes or just for a snack!:thumbsup2

If you could plant any type of fruit tree in your yard, what would it be?

I would plant a bing cherry tree. I remember having one next door when I was little. We had a peach tree. but I like cherries better! :goodvibes

:santa: Merry Christmas in July Everyone!!! :santa:

What is your most favorite cookie?

I love to bake cookies! I don't know that I have a favorite, tho. There's one my mom used to make that I love, but I think it's just because it makes me think of her. It's got 3 layers with raspberry and apricot fillings and then buttercream icing on top. The one I make the most is Paula Deen's 3 Chocolate Chip cookies.

I love all types of cookies. but I guess homemade chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. My favorite store bought cookies are Oreos. Yum. But only classic Oreos, none of those others will do.

I like Pepperidge Farms Milano, Brussels, and the cookie that is chocolate with white chocolate chips.

What sort of toppings do you like to put on your waffles?

***For my kids birthday party, I am having waffles, so wondering what toppings you like to put onto your waffles. There were no blueberries at the store today:(, but I will slice up strawberries, whipped cream, and might put out a bowl of chocolate chips-I think I am going to make regular, and chocolate chip pancakes...so well check on that.

We like to use waffles in place of bread for certain sandwiches especially for breakfast!! We put peanut butter and jelly, ham and egg ,fried eggs whatever the kids are in the mood for! :confused3;)
We also warm the waffles and put ice cream, what ever toppings they like and whipped cream,or make an ice cream sandwich with their favorite flavor ice cream; or top with warm pie filling like apple or blueberry and then vanilla ice cream and whipped cream!! We have also made smores with toasted waffles!!! As you can see there is kind of an ice cream, dessert theme going on here!!:rotfl:;)

My fav cookies are anything made with Macadamia nuts. I like to put either fresh blueberries or strawberries, and whipping cream. Have a great evening everyone!

Trish
