Salmon, mahi...actually, I don't think I have yet met a fish that I did not like to eat lol but there are still many I have not tried! :thumbsup2

In school, my daughter learned about the 3 Rs. Recycle, Recuse, and Reuse. So, today's QOTD is-
*What are some ways that you, and your family recycle, reduce, and reuse?

Our town collects paper, plastic and metal. They didn't collect paper until this year!

What are your most favorite types of fish to eat?

I don't cook a lot of fish--if it smells or tastes even the slightest bit "fishy" I can't eat it. Even tuna sometimes. But I love shrimp, crab, lobster and make those.

What type of bedding do you have?

We have a king sized bed. I fell in love with the pillows at AKV last month! :rotfl: So, I ordered them....fake down, that stayed fluffy! I have a quilt but it's getting cold, so the thinner blanket underneath will be switched for the electric blanket soon.

DH and I have such different preferences for mattresses--I keep threatening to get twin sized bedding (including a mattress pad!) so that we each have what we like on the same bed!

I'll follow Lynne's lead. We have a queen size bed. Currently I have a new comforter on it that I got from Linens and Things for $30! Between their going out of business discount and Carol's employee discount, I got a good deal. For the winter, I've put a quilt under the comforter.

I would LOVEEEEEE to have goose feather comforter but I'm allergic so I can't :guilty:

We also have a King size bed.. we have regular 400 thread count sheet set, then a warm fuzzy thin blanket and a handmade quilt on top..

Favorite - turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatos and gravy

Least favorite - sweet potatos

Well least favorite is the pumpkin pie :scared:
Most favorite is the mashed potatos, gravy, turkey, and green bean casserole lol :woohoo:

It is fun to read what others favorites, and least favorites are.

My favorite would be pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

My least favorite....well I have not tried it, and not sure if I will this year, but ...my sister will be making it since she will be joining us for Thanksgiving this year....green bean casserole. I am not a fan of green beans, but I might just have to take a bite of it or shall I say nibble :lmao: since a few of you like it so much.

I took my mom to the doctors today, and she had gotten a tetnis shot. Have you recently had one? Do you visit the doctor often, and go for annual physical exams?

I am due for my next tetnus booster this coming summer (they are recommended at 10 year intervals starting at the age of 15 I believe...). I do not get real physicals every year though that may start changing soon enough as I age lol. I do see my endocrinologists the most often though- about every 4 months! They keep in contact with my family practitioner (who i only see once a year unless I am ill) and she is fanatical about giving diabetics every vaccine known to mankind :confused3 . I always dread having to see her and tell her "No, I did not get my flu vaccine again this year" lol. :guilty:

I had a tetanus shot in my mid teens and got a severe allergic reaction to it, so I can't have one. It seems that every year I go for a variety of annual exams. Yesterday I had one of them, and it turned out that I might be low on Iron, so as of today I'm taking supplements. I've also 1 more biannual exam set in a couple of weeks. Just basic maintence stuff, but a royal pain trying to arrange around my DS5's kindergarten schedule. Am getting my flu shot on monday, and will then set up another 2 apts with my doctor for other biennial exams that I have to have done. Just repeat after me: I think I'm healthy, I think I'm healthy, I think I'm healthy. Need I say more??
Have a great day!

Trish

I go in for my yearly with my gyno, have a mamogram done every year and then to our family physician for bloodwork. I'm currently trying to manage my cholesterol through diet so I won't have to go on a statin. And two weeks ago I had and endoscopy done and found that I have a hiatal hernia. So I'm trying to manage that with OTC Prilosec instead of the expensive prescription medicine the internist wanted me on.

I go to the dentist also twice a year to have my teeth cleaned and looked at.

Got a flu shot Wednesday that hurt like the dickins! Never had one hurt like that before.

I have been having such a hectic week, and it seems like new things were always popping up before I could complete what already needed to be done. So today's QOTD is-

How was your week? Good, bad, did anything exciting happen?

It's been Broken Bones R Us this week. On Tues Hubby managed to crack one of his fingers at work. And 1 1/2 hrs later my DS5 managed to break his big toe:scared1: :scared1: . No point sending him to emergency, as there's not a lot they can do to it other than use tape to stabilize the toe until it heals. Trying to tell an active 5 yr old boy not to run for the next couple of weeks until it starts healing has been a challenge. May leave the toe taped until we leave for DL in 9 weeks time to make sure that it's healed. He hates the tape, but there's not alot that can be done for it other than taping it. Safe to say that I'm going through a pile of medical tape at the moment. Other than that, 2 Christmas parties over the next couple of days. Hopefully won't get too hungover;) . Have to do some baking for the second one we are going to on Sunday. Have a great weekend!!
