80! :scared1: Yikes! When do you start shopping? I've never gone either, but my friend and I were going to this year. Mike's doing better. One of the kids is always sick on Thanksgiving! (BEFORE I cook...so my food can't be blamed! :rotfl2: )

I have to make cookies yet...haven't even started that!

I shop all year around. Our list actually growed smaller since there is a bunch of us not shopping for the adults this year, just kids. Luckily, I had mailed out, and handed out a bunch of gifts already, so I need to organize, and concentrate on the gifts that I have to yet give out. :santa:

I think today I will take down the fall decorations, and work on Christmas cards.

I'm close to being done. Have less than 10 things to get besides stocking stuffers. This year I have 15 - 20 people to buy for.

I considered going out for Black Friday shopping but didn't. Well, I did make one stop at Belks for a wool pea coat for James. Was originally $200 and got it for $97.

I've never done the BF shopping either. Maybe next year. I'd like to experience it once.

Do you have your own stocking? If so, what sort of things is it usually filled with?

If you could choose 5 things that you really wanted to be in it what would they be? *Each item needs to be under $50.00.

Yes, I have my own stocking but it's never been filled. I always see that everyone else gets stuff in theirs but no one has taken on mine yet. Hmmm, I wonder what their faces would look like if I filled my own?

I'd like to have a book, gift cards, candles, chocolate covered nuts.

Yes! But I fill my own! Hey, at least I get what I want, right? :goodvibes
Perfume, candy, always new toothbrushes in the stockings! Just any little thing that fits that I find.

I love sundaes with peanut butter and hot fudge.

Especially the No Way Jose, from Beaches and Cream.

I love mint choc chip sundaes or pistachio icecream. But talking of Beaches and Cream I love the banana splits from there (the 1 person one served 4 of us and we still couldn't finish it! Luckily we were staying at the Beach Club Villas so we had a freezer to put it in!!)

Welcome to a new month. Wow, I can't believe that Christmas is already this month :). So, today's QOTD is-
*Are you ready for Christmas? What do you still need to get done?:santa:

The tree is up and all the decorations that I wanted to put out. I find myself putting out less decorations each year. I enjoy them but don't want to put them away!

I still have things to buy for Christmas but know what I'm going to get. It's just a matter of finding them. Carol is going to attend Texas A&M Commerce next year. I wanted to get her a few items (hoodie, t-shirt, sleep pants) but since this school is small, you can't just find them anywhere like you can the bigger schools. I just may have to make a trip there to get them.

I got the Christmas tree up yesterday. The kids decorated it, and had a great time at it. Yesterday afternoon Hubby picked up some solar powered LED lights for the van, and mounted them to the roof racks, so now it's looking festive. Don't know how legal it is, but have yet to be pulled over by the police. Came in handy on the way home from curling last night as man it was foggy. Rather pea soupish. As we speak I've got a double batch of sugar cookie dough in the fridge, as well as a triple batch of Welsh Cake dough. Will do up the Welsh cakes after I pickup my older son from Kindergarten. After these, I've still have to make up shortbread, and chocolate chip cookies, and then other than 2 gingerbread houses, am pretty much done. Unless there is something else I'm in the mood to bake. Have a great day!

Trish

The same as Lynne, whatever cookie was in the cookie jar. We would also leave some hay out by the front door for the reindeer.

we used to make reindeer food....it was oatmeal and glitter, but the kids liked to spread it outside in the yard.

I'm currently in the process of doing so. I do a little each night. Should be done by the end of the week.

Have you sent out your Christmas :santa: cards yet? If not, when do you plan to do so?

I usually get photo cards made up of the kids, but just haven't this year! December kind of snuck up on me! I think I better just get the regular ones and get busy. I did buy the stamps...does that count?
